a real world episode in your dorm room

THE ROOMMATES MEME
Perhaps you were best friends who decided to make rent cheaper by living together, a couple who took the plunge and moved in together, or you could just be some random people thrown together by circumstance and really needing a place to live.
Either way, you're sharing a flat (or maybe even a room) now! What's going to happen?
You know this drill:
- Post your character name, series and any preferences.
- Go to RNG (1-11) and tag around.
- Have fun!
PROMPTS:
( the dishes in the sink )
The classic. Your flatmate just can't do the damn dishes. Are you annoyed? Do you confront them? Hell, perhaps you're just as lazy.
( the house party )
A staple of college/university life (and beyond). Break out the drink, tell people to bring their own beer because it's time to get messy! ... Oh, wait, you didn't know people were infiltrating your flat tonight? My bad.
( the move in )
Someone's moving into your place! Quick, help them! Or stand and laugh while they struggle upstairs.
( the noisy one )
Is there anything worse than paper thin walls and a noisy flatmate? You can hear everything they're doing... even (or especially) the TMI.
( the friendly one )
Oh, lucky you, you've scored someone who wants to try and make things as good as possible for you both! Don't waste this now. It might just be the greatest thing you could have.
( the tmi one )
OH GOD why did you walk in during that? Nope, backing out now... unless you're into that. Why do they keep telling you things, as well? Gosh.
( the disaster )
There's not even words. These are the ones the internet warned you about. A little TMI or noise? That is nothing compared to the crazy you're stuck with right now.
( the tv night )
Movies, TV marathons, whatever you like. You and your flatmate are going to hunker down with some popcorn and have fun.
( the fight )
Aww, darn. Is it not working out? Finally having to confront a crazy, or tell your other half that this is going to hell in a handbasket? Good luck, man.
( the shopping )
Whether you're going for groceries or furniture (or fun!), you and your flatmate are hitting the shops and spending some cash.
( the other )
Thought of something not on here? Go for it! Mix and match your options or anything else!

swoops up in hurr
Goodbyes are always bittersweet in the Cullen family and leaving Esme behind is particularly difficult, but Emmett would be lying if he said he wasn't excited to be striking out on their own again as husband and wife.
They hit the road a little after noon and it's only a few hours of easy cruising when they arrive at their cozy little home in Portland. ]
pretend like this isn't late.
Portland isn't exactly ideal for her, but she knows they need to stay close to family, and honestly, they could move anywhere in the world and she wouldn't care as long as Emmett's there with her. She parks the convertible next to his jeep and turns it off, then gets out of the car. They can unpack in a little while; right now, she wants to go explore the house again with him. ]
Do you remember the house we had in Maine? [ Rosalie's standing next to his jeep now, looking over the front of their new home. ] I think that one may have been my favorite.

But there are houses that do stick out in his mind. Whether for their particularly quaint architecture, or just the abundance of happy memories made between their walls. He can picture the one in Maine so clearly. It wasn't the first time they had struck off on their own, but it had been longer than they'd ever gone, before or since. The excitement of being Mr. and Mrs. Cullen again after nearly an entire decade of making nice to the outside world as nothing more than adopted siblings had been overwhelming.
His big arm snakes around her shoulders and he stands there with her, gazing up the driveway. ]
Yeah... Maine was tops. We should go back there sometime.

Refusing to taint the day and her mood with those sorts of thoughts, Rosalie tears her gaze from the house and looks towards her husband. ] To the state, or the house specifically? Because something tells me the people who live there wouldn't take kindly to us asking to take a tour. [ Especially since Rosalie has a pretty good idea about how that tour for them would end. When they first moved in, they barely left the house for weeks. They had to rebuild quite a few walls, too. The memories would probably end up getting the best of them. ]

To him, her beauty is beyond earthly compare. Objectively of course, he can recognize a pretty face when he sees one. But his Rose is so much more than that. She's gorgeous on the inside too. And every day they spend together somehow feels even better than the last. It doesn't matter what they're doing -- having wall-denting sex or simply curled around each other on the couch, while he watches football and she reads some magazine. Hell, they could literally be watching paint dry, and he's pretty sure it would still be the best day ever just because it's spent with her.
He chuckles. ]
Man... We were lucky we had no neighbors those first couple of month.

Turning, Rosalie wraps her arms around his middle, fingers spreading out over his far side. She grins at what he says, her chin resting on his arm as she continues looking at him. No matter how many times she sees his face, she never gets sick of it. ]
Could you imagine what would've happened if we had? Their reactions... [ She trails off because she's not sure if it would've been absolutely hilarious or enough to run them out of town. Or both. ]

Of course, he is occasionally beset by other troubles. Such as the ache he still sometimes feels for the loss of his birth family. And the guilt of knowing that he's killed good, innocent people does weigh back on his conscience from time to time.
But there is ultimately no regret for who -- or rather, what -- he is now. If Rosalie hadn't found him when she had, hadn't taken him back to Carlisle to be saved, to be changed... Well, then the life he had before would still be gone. Only he wouldn't know the difference then, because he'd be dead and rotted out somewhere in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. ]
It woulda' been hella awkward running into them down at the mailbox.
[ Or at least awkward for their neighbors, because there is really no shame in Emmett Cullen's game. Not when it comes to his beautiful wife and the love they share. ]
Should we go check out the inside then, babe? Or do you want me to bring everything into the garage first?

She hums quietly at his offer, like she's thinking about it, and turns her head so her cheek is resting against his arm and she's looking towards the house again. Her hand runs down his side until it's settled on his hip, thumb hooking beneath the waistband of his pants. ] We can take care of everything later; let's go inside.

what a nice surprise!
Especially today; it had been a relatively overcast sort of day but as the sun's starting to set, the sky also begins to clear, leaving them with a gorgeous view from the very room she's standing it. ]
I think this might nudge out Maine for my favorite house, [ she says, not bothering to holler or anything since he's bound to hear her anyway. ]
:D
Yeah. I think I have to agree with you there, babe. [ He comes trampling down the stairs sounding like a herd of elephants, sporting a wide grin. ]

Taking one last, long look up at the sky as it turns a shocking shade of pink, Rosalie heads back further into the house to meet up with him, a grin tugging the corners of her lips up. ]
Which walls do you want to break first?

She steps up to him and slides her hands up his arms, eventually wrapping her own around his neck. ] Almost as much as I like hearing you call me wife. [ And beautiful, of course, but she knows that well enough by now. ]
