1. proposal {
1. park - you've been planning this proposal for awhile and have taken your sweetheart to a nice secluded area in the park. are they going to say yes or leave you in the dust?

2. house - dimmed lights, candles, home made dinner. it's obvious you've fixed yourself up for something tonight. let's see if your lover catches on before the question is popped.

3. public event - perhaps you're one who wants to gain a lot of attention; maybe your significant other doesn't as much. either way, this goes from writing their message in the sky with an airplane to something like a flash mob ensemble with others involved.

4. restaurant - nothing romantic like taking them out somewhere ritzy and hiding the rings in that glass of expensive wine.

5. car - you've driven them somewhere nostalgic or meaningful either to you or each other, or perhaps just a good view overlooking the city cause maybe you had no other idea how to do it or couldn't afford anything else.

2. marriage {
1. traditional - both parties have agreed and said yes, and everything goes well just like in the fairy tales you've always dreamed of.

2. arranged - you had no say so in this but somebody else like your parents did. you've never seen this person before until you walk down the aisle. what are your thoughts? are you nervous? what if you two don't get along? looks like you have to deal with it either way. enjoy?

3. elope - nothing fancy. you know, they do make drive thru chapels or perhaps you're just going to experience the excitement of meeting up at the court. all and all, it doesn't matter, just so you have your sweetheart to yourself.

4. shotgun - congrats, somebody is pregnant. there's only one more thing left to do now..

5. disaster - looks like somebody forgot the rings! never mind the fact the maid of honor is having a wardrobe malfunction or that soon to be father in law is causing a scene of some sort.

3. after marriage {
1. honeymoon night - self explanatory! come on, you know what this means. it just wouldn't be the same without this option.

2. new addition - it could be a pregnancy or bringing home a new child, or something as simple as a new pet goldfish.

3. house purchase - after months of living in a trashy apartment, you're both about to sign the dotted line and move into your new place.

4. argument - deep, relationship sort of arguments or something petty like who drank all the milk; it's up to you!

5. divorce - somebody has had enough of this and is ready to move on. how will it all go down?

After the wedding

[A simple wedding at the American embassy after her little announcement, and she had decided to add Raleigh's name to hers, for their children to be both Moris and Beckets. Only proper, really. She planned on training at least two of them as Mori swordsmakers, in the tradition of her father, both of them.

Mako smiled up at Raleigh, smoothing down the blue dress she wore. She was still early days, but she could tell the changes already.]

You look a little surprised, Raleigh.

[neverhadgoodtiming]

I am surprised.

[He's been in dumb shock since she suggested it. Dumb, blindingly giddy, shock.]

And why would that be? [a small, teasing smile, as she moves closer, hands behind her back]

I never thought about it.

Well, true. And why would that be?

I knew what I wanted, and I already had it. I didn't need a piece of paper to tell me that.

[Mako just blinks, and then smiles, tears rolling down her cheeks. You perfect man, Raleigh. And the sappiest. Have a teary Mako hug you, and squeeze the stuffing out of you.]

[What'd he do? It's only a flash of panic before she's hugging him but for that moment he thought she might hit him. Raleigh tucks her under his chin and holds her close.]

That was so sweet, Raleigh. Do you know why I married you?

[neverhadgoodtiming]

I would like to think because you love me.

[Why? Got a better reason, Mori-Becket?]

Making sure everyone knows you're mine.

[he grins. that is a well-thought out reason]

That everyone already knew.

[she does do a lot more thinking and Raleigh is the more feelings person.]

You've got me, Mako. I'm not going anywhere.

Good. Neither am I.

[neverhadgoodtiming]

[He bends and kisses the corner of her mouth, soft and lingering. He loves her. Doesn't matter what he thought about this day. She's stuck with him.]

[Oh, she knows she's stuck with you, Raleigh, she just made it official. Call it a quirk. She smiles, and kisses back, hands resting on his arms.]

[Call it whatever you like. Raleigh just feels god damn lucky he ever got to meet her. Even if she had never wanted him as more than a friend. He knew he'd never leave her side.]

[And Mako is forever grateful she saw him as him and not just a service record and a Drift profile. Even if there wasn't anything more than just friendship, she was glad to have met him, and gotten to ride Gipsy with him. Mako pulled back, smiling softly]

Come on. Tendo's dying to make the toast.

[He forgot. This was going to be a new level of embarrassing he hadn't felt around Mako, ever.]

[She's seen your mind, Raleigh, and she still is going to keep you, no matter what.]

Anything he tells you about my 21st birthday is dead wrong.

[The thing is the Drift can only show what you remember as you recall it. Which means shit you do when you're blackout drunk? Won't show. ]

Well, does it matter?

It might. Yancy had wanted to prove a point. All I can really remember is throwing up in the snow and eating pavement on the way home.

I'm not sure he even knew what point he was proving.
