The Body Heat Meme

Post with your character! They're now stuck in a very cold place of your choice. It can be anything, such as a freezing chamber, a cavern or a small cabin in the midst of a blizzard. The choice is up to you.
Comment around! Now your character has some company in this bone-chilling environment. The two of them share two things in common: clothes completely unfitting for this weather (be they summer clothes or even lingerie) and a blanket.
A blanket? Yes, just one warm blanket and no other ways to escape the cold. The two of them will have to share it in order to stay alive in this weather. Don't worry, you're sure to find a common language in this terrible situation!
So, uh, have fun, I suppose. Try to not freeze to death!
Protip: friction and body heat are both excellent ways to fend off cold.

Let me guess, there's a pulse turning you blue? You can have that. [He indicates the blanket with a large, clawed toe.]

[ The weather is awful, the power outages are awful, the fact that he's without a jacket (or three) is awful... in general, the cold is awful and he'll make no secret of readily disliking it. Banagher glances between Julien and the offered blanket, his first natural instinct being to share it, but the actual steam rising off his skin deters him from turning it down. ]
Thanks.
[ He reaches over and takes it, throwing it over his head and tucking himself into a chattering ball of general misery. ]

[Pause. Maybe he's a little more concerned than he's letting on. What to do... pretty low on options. There are candles around for light but as a rule you don't set fire to things inside.
fine. Julien unfurls one wing - huh, yeah, it does feel rather colder without it at his side - and steps close to sling it around Banagher's shoulder and close it again, more or less. Under long feathers the structure of his arm is the same. A couple of fingers have melted together and lengthened. The others are still there, but clawed and scaly.
There's the effect of his voice, the resonance going into whatever touches an air sac.]
Then I decided to hope your story's going to turn out a little more original than that. Did you see Avatar?

Julien's comment gets him to snort through his nose, though the whisper of feathers cuts any ensuing comments short. Snuffling instead, he peeks out from the cover of the blanket curiously. Instantly, the air around him is warmer. There's a dusty smell, almost sweet. He casts a sidelong glance over, grateful, and presses his lips into a line instead. ]
Sure I did. Giant robots seem like a dime-a-dozen compared to blue aliens though. If we're talking about stories.
[ He's a little too honest to be petulant, but he does shift a hand out from the blanket to look at the moons of his nails, which are, in fact, blue. ]

Hah, everyone saw that.
Especially giant blue aliens, huh. I did love the details, but the plot, man... And I got such a headache from the threedee!
[Julien doesn't appear to glance towards the motion, but he sees it.]
Cross your arms and stick 'em in your armpits. It's what I used to do.
[And now can't. At all. He doesn't need to, but the option's removed. Julien twists his lips wryly. Funny the things he'd taken for granted.]

[ "Stranger than", or so they say. Banagher doesn't mean to take a cursory glance along the row of feathers that skims over him in demonstration, but he does anyway when he shifts as instructed. He tucks his arms in and sniffs. ]
They're a lot warmer than I thought. Feathers. You're not cold at all?

[Julien makes this easier on himself and extends a clawed thumb, snags it on the blanket over Banagher's shoulder to keep the rest of the limb in place. There is wing over the kid's back down to his waist; on his far side the feathers growing from what was Julien's hand descend at an angle like some kind of cape.]
If I splayed out, probably. Like this, maybe a little. It's not that bad. You see... [he has to say it] birds splashing around in weather like this, if someone breaks the ice for them. I guess when I don't have any more bare skin I'll be like that too. [Which is unhappier-sounding than he intended. He fakes a laugh.] God, listen to me.

Sorry. [ He knows that only calls more attention to it, in the long run, but he can't quite help it. ] I'm still getting used to the idea of wrong questions, too.

Well, it's okay. [not really, or only sort of] I was in denial for months after all, might as well face all the things now. Right?
no subject
Anyone would be. Are you afraid?
no subject
Aaaah, well. Wouldn't you be? But it's not like it helps, to go around making it obvious.
