Though the concept of "adolescence" is a relatively new one, the nebulous age between the onset of puberty and the age of majority has almost always been a time for changes. A young person's body as well as their mind is changing, but most importantly, they are on their way to becoming a sexually mature adult. Often times, these adolescents may feel the desire to express themselves in this intimate way and experiment with others their own age. This may happen in a safe environment, but not always. Depending on the time and place, these sort of activities may be viewed as harmless or the ultimate taboos, especially if the desired person or act is otherwise "deviant." Still, that doesn't change the fact that the urge, more likely than not, is very, very present.

[This shouldn't be so hard. Sora has always been one of her best friends. She'd had a crush on him for how long now? But now that they were actually going on a date, she couldn't help but feel really nervous.

She'd spent a long time just deciding what to wear, but she finally settled on something casual. She waited where they decided to meet up at anxiously.]

[ Sora's opted for something that, when he first spots Kairi, makes him feel just a tiiiiiny bit inadequate in comparison. Oh well! He probably would have felt inadequate next to her anyway, no matter what he could have done in the looks department. He's not one to overthink that kind of thing.

His step takes a quick spring as he approaches, giving her a smile and a tilt of the head, both a little wobbly from nerves. At least, they feel kind of wobbly. Half of his brain is paying attention to how unwieldy his limbs are, and the other is still kind of in denial that this is happening at all. ]

Hey! [ you look like a supermodel NO ] I'm on time! [ THAT'S ARGUABLY WORSE ] Were you waiting for me for long? [ ... OK THAT'S A NORMAL HUMAN BEING CONCERN. and an especially good thing to ask given that this is kairi. GOOD SAVE GOOD HUSTLE. ]

She decided to say with something simple like a drink. She thought about getting a popcorn, but wasn't it more romantic if they shared one and every now and then had their hands touch while reaching for some? Maybe not but...]

He goes ahead and covers her hand with his hand, his fingers coming to rest between hers a beat before grasping it loosely. ] It'd be kind of like playing hide and go seek.
