There might be triggers, depending on how the prompts are interpreted.
un → small quest it might be a rare herb or a cup of magic water, but someone’s life depends upon you going through these woods and getting it. will you find it right away? have to battle a witch for it? or maybe you don’t want to succeed at all.
deux → lost how did you manage to get lost in these woods? you had that map, right? how did you even get to this part of the country? whatever happened, you’re stuck until someone helps you out. if they want you out in the first place.
trois → chased these woods weren’t exactly the place you wanted to go, but you had no choice. innocent or guilty of a crime, or a victim of circumstance, these woods might buy you some time… wait. was that a wolf in the distance?
quatre → the old castle sometimes when you’re lost or wandering about, you see something really amazing or unusual. or something you were never meant to find. like that old abandoned castle people have been whispering about…
cinq → passing through the forest has a well-worn path that no one ever strays from, lest something magical happens to them. you’ve traveled it often enough, but just because you’re on the path doesn’t mean you’ll be left alone.
six → refuge it might be dark and cold, or entirely welcoming, but it’s the only place those nasty goons or insane villagers won’t follow you. but what exactly is keeping everyone else away from here? or did you want into some danger yourself?
sept → chance encounter it’s a fairy! no, wait, that was just an ogre. an ogre?! from sorcerers to talking deer, you can meet anything in an enchanted forest. so will you meet someone who wants to help you, or will they want to eat you instead?
huit → danger this forest doesn’t like newcomers, and the creatures don’t like humans. its ways are old and strange, and just because you’ve been able to enter it doesn’t mean you’ll be spared. no one likes trespassers, after all.
neuf → abandoned for whatever reason, you were abandoned here a long time ago. this is the only place you have ever known, and you’d rather not leave. not even for that prince who has come to take you back home, long lost princess.
dix → large quest the forest might be the end of your quest, or it might be a large part of it. you’ve been fighting hard for a long time to rescue the princess or defeat the wizard, and this forest isn’t going to scare or defeat you. will it?
onze → spell trapped in an ancient oak tree? put under a sleeping curse? or maybe you’re the one who is causing that mischief from that little cottage you’ve hidden in the old forest people are learning to become wary of these days.
douze → magical not all enchanted forests are scary! some of them are filled with sunlight, fairies, pretty little birds, and all those big-eyed creatures, all of them singing along with you, having a wonderfully good time.

"Maybe." He said with a shrug, "I don't know. That's why I'm out here, to find out what's beyond the fence. I don't think you're what anyone expected."
He was tired, already worn-down by something like anxiety and the fact that he still wasn't sure of the situation was even more wearing, and that statement came out more like an accusation than he'd actually meant it to. But at the same time, it was true, they hadn't expected people, and even as critical of the situation as she sounded he had no proof that she wasn't in on it, a part of it, somehow.

"Are you done? If so, I can start cooking it? You can clean up and relax," because he did look as tired as he felt.

The uneasy feeling in the pit of his stomach was back, the 'maybe I shouldn't be talking about this' nervousness. So he just shook his head again, "But I don't know. Maybe it was all a lie."

All this whole situation told her was that she really didn't get guys, they were really, really freaking confusing! All of them. "People? Right, sure...okay. But, what did you expect then? Just your little science project only? That contained you and your factions and what? Like, that you all lived on some island somewhere, together?"
"A lie? Man, I don't get you. I don't...you say things and then kind of shut down on me, then say other things, and then shut down some more. I don't know how I am meant to help you, or to fix this...if you plan to keep me at arms length? But, that is your deal, man. I am gonna feed you, let you get some rest and send you back to your science project when I can, okay?" she said in a voice laced with exasperation as she semi struggled with the meat so she could put a spit through it. Lining it up with the holes on the stand over the fire so that she could rotate and brown the meat on all sides. That was when she grabbed a couple of small pots for the vegetables and the brown rice she had...she added salt and water to a different pot and put it on the grating over the fire. Letting it heat up as she cleaned the vegetables with the knife she had by peeling any skin it had and cutting things up into tiny pieces. There was some carrots, then she was cleaning some corn off a few cobs, and lastly there were potatoes also cut into tiny pieces so she could add it to the rice as it cooked.

He held up both hands by way of explanation as he unfolded to his feet again, "Going to wash up. I'll be right back." He was still keeping alert, or as alert as he could, given as how he was out of his league and he knew it.
He took his time washing up, making sure to get the blood out from under his nails, turning her accusations, even as mild as they had been, over in his mind as he did so, and when he returned he'd managed to collect himself and had come to a decision, which was to tell her the reason for keeping her at arm's reach at least.
"This is going to be a little disjointed, but bear with me." He said, settling, leaning back against the wall, one knee drawn to his chest, "Where I'm from, we thought we were the only people left, those of us inside the fence, and Amity just outside the fence, but still within the safe zone. We didn't know what was out there, most of us didn't want to." He took a deep breath, steadying himself, letting a little of the tension at his core go, "The only problem with my being out here now? Is that I can't be sure it's really happening. It may be a simulation. That's ...something we're capable of, spinning out elaborate unrealities, like lucid dreaming, things that could be real. Getting outside the fence is what I wanted, and you look like ...someone I know."
That was as close as he was going to get to explaining Tris and just who she was, what she meant, "But not exactly, just enough that it keeps catching me off-guard, and that's enough to make me wary. Maybe more than if you did look exactly like her. If this is a simulation, it's designed to get me to reveal what I know, or maybe get under my skin and inside my head so that they know what I want so they can use it against me." He was leaving out the part about how he was usually able to resist the simulations, to fight his way through them, but this was different, and not like anything he'd been up against before.

Nodding her head to him, which was the only confirmation that she offered to him about being willing to sit and listen.
She curled up with her legs crossed a bit, her arms wrapped around them to hold her knees as she sat in rapt attention. When he finished his words, Carolyn was super quiet as she mulled over his words and his actions. She had been reading his body the whole time he was there, even though it was calm there were times she could hear his heart beating a bit unsteady...or she could smell fear--or something akin to fear, but not as intense as it. She couldn't rightly tell all about him and it was driving her nuts.
"So, you believe someone is fucking with your head and using me as some sort of avatar? An avatar of this person you really care for, or else they would have used someone else? And you think we are stuck in some program? How is that even possible? I mean, how do they even get in your head?" Because the time, and era/mindset that Carolyn was from? Was way before MTV, computers, even tapes that weren't 8 tracks. So, this was a bit mind blowing for her.

He shook his head, leaning back against the wall behind him, "It could be a test, it could just be to keep me out of the way, I don't know." Of course, there was also the chance that it could be real, but he still wasn't sure of that, either.

"Well, I'm fucking real. I am no Acid/LSD trip that is in your head, dude. Maybe you should sleep for a bit, sleep it off? Food will be done in a few hours, I can wake you when it is done," she stated plainly. "I don't know how to prove to you that you are here, with me and in really serious danger if my Alpha catches your scent. He will let the Beta's of the group tear you to pieces for fun, and then they will feast on your meat and bones," she finally stated firmly and honestly. If he was being a bit honest, so could she--just having left out the bit about her being a Werewolf.
