Magical Girl Meme
Welcome to the Magical Girl AU. You are now in the world of minute-long transformation sequences and the power of friendship. Work those sparkles and let's get down to saving the world.
1. Post with your character’s name, canon, and role. You can add potential scenarios if you like.
2. Tag and thread.
Roles
1. Magical Girl/Boy/Other: The star of the show. Fairly obvious.
2. The Big Bad: The evil overlord. The diabolical sorceress. Mostly you just sit on your butt and watch your minions constantly fail to destroy Earth’s protectors, but for special occasions you might decide to get involved yourself.
3. Villain of the Week: The cannon fodder of evil. You’ve got half an hour to make your vile machinations shine before the goody-goods take your ass down like breadcrumbs at a seagull convention. Garner enough of a fanbase and you might get to make a second appearance!
4. Supporting Characters: The backup team. Wacky comic relief, caring parents, stern principals, and that one guy who runs the ramen stand.
5. Adorable (or not) Mascots: The cute animal who's perfect for toy marketing. You're there for moral support...unless you aren't.
6. Civilian/Victim of the Week: You aren't even supposed to be here today. Now you're caught in the middle of a battle between good and evil and there's not much you can do for it.
7. The Third Faction/Mysterious Figure: Who are you? What are your allegiances? Will you ever stop standing on buildings and spouting vague phrases while your cape billows in the wind? It's a mystery!

1. First Transformation: Congratulations, you’ve been chosen to save the world! You get amazing powers, magical weaponry, and a cool catchphrase that will turn you into a monster-fighting badass. …you want a transformation sequence without nudity? Come on, dude, let’s not get greedy here.
2. Weekly Troubles: The world’s in danger from bizarrely dressed weirdos; it must be Friday.
3. Boss Battle: The Big Bad’s just shown up. Time to pull out all the stops and use that magical upgrade item you conveniently obtained last episode. Let’s kick this thing into overdrive and kick this monster out of town.
4. Normal, Interrupted: You’re just trying to go on a date with your love interest (who may or may not be that strange masked person who shows up at all your battles), or need to get to that important exam that will make or break your final grade. Why do the bad guys have to show up now?
5. Normal, Uninterrupted: Finally, a day without villainy. This is your beach episode, with or without bikinis.

This fate has guided you to a grand palace full of puzzles and other tests to test your mettle as a magical girl, and now you approach the final chamber. Get ready for the final challenge--

[ Tsubomi smiles sheepishly, brushing dirt off her jeans as she stands up, addressing Morgiana after clearing her throat. ]
Okay, what was it that Grandma suggested I say...?
You have done well to make it this far, o maiden of the magical artes.
However... that was all just a prelude of things to come. Do you have the power and the heart, however, to receive the fabled Amol Selseira?
As dictated by the laws of this land... I must test you in battle to see if you are truly worthy of receiving it.
[ And then she pauses for a bit, coughing somewhat. ]
... was that a little much? I admit, I'm not... quite used to this yet myself...
[ ... smooth, Tsubomi. Yeah, clearly this isn't the first time you've attempted this, right? Right. ]

[Sorry, she's not trying to be rude by not saying much more. She doesn't talk often and when she does, it's always awkward at best. She has her reasons and doesn't particularly want to air them just yet.]

Still, at least Morgiana seemed to have an idea that there was going to be a fight? That was certainly more than some of the previous challengers that had made their way to the garden arena, she had to admit.
It takes her a few moments to collect her thoughts and answer, but she does nod when she finally speaks. ]
Yes! Something like that... I'm just here to test your skill as a magical girl. If you're good enough, I can give you your power-up after.

[ Tsubomi pauses sheepishly for several moments before it hits her that she doesn't know her name. Whoops. ]

[She wasn't sure how she was the challenger here...maybe she accidentally challenged this girl? As long as it was just a friendly match...ah well...
Morgiana ran at the girl, aiming to give her one of the kicks she was so famous for. Of course, she wasn't intending to harm. After all, this wasn't a real fight. In a real fight, she would be sure to finish it.]

[ OMIGOD THAT WAS TOO CLOSE Tsubomi just barely gets out of the way of the kick.
Still, that was some impressive pragmatism on Morgiana's part... either that or Tsubomi herself was just too much of a derp to handle being the mid-season upgrade guardian.
Whatever the case, she jumps back, whips out what appears to be a perfume bottle from her pocket... as well as a pink Heart Seed. ]

[ A bright light envelops her--! ]

The flower spreading throughout the land, Cure Blossom!
[ Normally, she would pose all magical girl-like and stuff to punctuate her transformation! But no; rather, as soon as she lands she rushes forward, throwing a series of concentrated jabs at Morgiana followed by a sweeping kick.
Unlike most battles with Desertrians, Cure Blossom exercises great control over her powers here; her intention isn't to harm Morgiana or cripple her, but to test her powers. See how good of a fighter she really is. Thus, if any of the hits connect Morgiana's going to find herself being pushed back instead of getting hurt, as per how it goes in shounen fighting shows... ]

Again, Morgiana doesn't want to hurt the girl. The kick she's using is nothing like her "strong enough to puncture the gut of a grown lion" kick she and her tribe are so famous for. She just wants to knock the girl on her butt, basically.]

Of all the things that Blossom was expecting, the dancing was NOT one of them. Not to mention she hardly considers herself graceful by any means; hence now she's being pulled into the dance and stumbling every so often in her attempts to keep up with Morgiana. ]

But she does settle into it eventually, even giggling a bit as she returned a twirl for Morgiana as they waltzed around the flower garden. ]

With a frightening battle cry, Morgiana ran up the large rock which Yamuraiha was perched above and aimed one of her famous kicks at her teacher. Of course, the intent wasn't to injure. The redhead simply wanted to knock her off her staff. Did...did it work?]

Right, there's a lesson to be found here. Magi Dojo, round one. When the kick connects with her staff, it causes her to spin in the air, almost threatening to fall off herself. Somehow, she manages to stay afloat and conjures a bubble of water over Morgiana's head, threatening to pop any second now. ]
