[ he doesn't leave anyone alone, always waits until the other person lets go first. for someone who's known to be selfish and careless, Gojo seems to have a sixth sense when it comes to understanding what others need to feel comfortable.
he appears in Nanami's living room out of thin air and pulls up the bandage to peer at the drunk sorcerer. ]
[ Gojo is wild and erratic and terrible unpredictable in most ways, but on certain, very essential points, he's the consistent pillar that Nanami needs. When everything else falls through or rejects him, when he can't stand anything and rejects it all himself, Gojo is the one person who still answers his phone.
He's currently slumped on the floor with his clothes a mess and his back against the couch, staring down an aftermath of empty bottles littering the table in front of him. True to his word, he's still nursing a beer can that presumably was left behind by Shoko at some point. When he hears Gojo's voice, he looks up blearily, like he doesn't trust what he sees. ]
Gojo-san. [ Right. Did he call him? ] You... want a drink too?
[ He can be a good host. At least, he can try to clamber to his feet and find the fridge. ]
[ He somehow manages to stagger up with Gojo's help, maybe leaning a bit heavily into his support. Nanami notices the odd look in the other sorcerer's expression and finds himself staring into it, missing the question because he's so distracted. ]
...something else?
[ He has other drinks. And that might not exactly be what is on his mind at the moment, but not a lot of coherent thoughts are sticking in his mind either. He's lucky it's Gojo with him and not someone else. ]
I called you.
[ Maybe? He doesn't remember, but it feels right. Maybe he wanted to call Gojo all along just to see that look. ]
[ Gojo's arm tightens around Nanami, adjusts his stance, the grip. as with Infinity the adjustment happens unconsciously, only here he isn't attempting to remain untouchable, but to make sure Nanami doesn't fall.
the look on the other man's face isn't one Gojo can read. with Nanami he's only familiar with various degrees of annoyed or neutral on that handsome face, the complete opposite of Gojo's public display of expressions. sometimes it helps push his own annoyance down just by looking at Nanami's annoyed face. ]
You did, even though I suspect you'd rather have called someone else.
[ 'called', he says. summoned is more like it, no? the weary sorcerer calling on this demon who won't ever say no to him. ]
Call it your personal turndown and tucking-in service.
[ said with a soft laugh, the lingering smile actually touching Gojo's icy blue eyes, as he tries to nudge Nanami towards the bedroom. ]
Cooperate a little, will you? Or did you want me to carry you, hm?
[ He shifts unsteadily in Gojo's grip, and for once Nanami doesn't overthink it. The alcohol is already leaving him feeling fuzzy and absent, and Nanami lets himself sag a bit more against Gojo, relaxing a bit more into what is actually a nice embrace. When he doesn't have to think about it, he can even call it comfortable. ]
Mm. I won't call anyone else.
[ Even if he did want to, that would just be causing them trouble. Only Gojo always appears for him without ever looking unhappy or hurt. No matter what Nanami puts him through or says, Gojo never stops smiling. Maybe he is a bit closer to a demon than a human, but in his drunken state, Nanami can see exactly what draws everyone else in, even if they get unnerved in the end. He reaches up to touch the side of Gojo's face. It makes him stumble as he half-walks, half-trips toward the bedroom while still trying to look into his eyes and catch some of that unnatural warmth coming through the ice. ]
I'm not tired yet. I just want to stay up.
[ Maybe because when he passes out, Gojo will leave. ]

I still can't drink but thanks for offering.
[ slinging an arm around Nanami's waist to steady him, there is the fondest look on Gojo's face. ]
Let's get you to bed, shall we?
