His discomfort around her that first night isn't something she's forgotten, but she did assume that had a lot to do with his lack of clothing and her being a woman. So it's not something that immediately crosses her mind when accepting his offer of help. Not until she catches sight of the startled look she gets for accepting it. It's not enough to make her let go - something that will inevitably cause a lot more awkwardness than just continuing on - but she does turn her own attention forward again so he's not on the receiving end of her watching him again.
She's musing over the way he reacts to her when he starts talking again and that's almost immediately cut off by the loud snap at the man approaching them - how sudden it is even enough to startle her this time. She looks up at Shizuo for a second then at the man who hurries by them, casting a glance back to watch him go before she turns her attention forward again. Her fingers let up on his sleeve and tightly grasp his arm instead, as if to remind him that she's beside him in his tenseness so he doesn't turn and say anything else.
"Once we're at my building, you can leave if you want." There's no obligation to stick around once she's home and she wants to make that clear. The favor of walking her home in this situation is more than enough of a help already. But the offer to help with the burns is filed away in case he does decide to stay.
After a few moments, she looks over at her grip on his arm and then up at him.
"That guy was probably staring at us because of this," she points out, as if musing on it aloud as she gently bumps against him as they walk. Their proximity is close enough to earn looks, she's sure, though it's not as if there's anything to it beyond him helping her. She's still conscious enough of his initial reaction not to bluntly mention that they might look like a couple, though, since she gets the feeling saying something like that even in passing will make him more awkward than he already is.
