How it works:
1. Post with your character, with their name | canon and any preferences in the subject line
2. Someone else tags you. Congratulations, those characters are now on a road trip together! To where? Who cares! We only care about the journey here
3. Go to the RNG and get a random number between 1 and 15 to pick your scenario, or combine numbers or make up your own
4. ???
5. ROAD TRIP STYLED PROFIT!

Scenarios:
1: LOST You should have made a left turn at Albuquerque, or maybe you've been holding the map upside down this whole time! Whatever it is, you're hopelessly LOST. Will you make it back on the path to your destination, or will you find a new adventure? Try not to open any hatches.

2: Tourist Trap Okay, you're all for seeing the sights, but World's Biggest Doorstopper? World's Smallest Chicken? World's Noisiest Whistle? Do we really have to stop here, too?

3: Car Trouble Maybe you got a flat tire. Maybe your engine's stalled. Or maybe you just overestimated how far you could get on a half tank of gas. Either way, you're broke down on the side of the road and the nearest station is miles away; better get behind it and push!

4: Bad Weather Driving in the rain? No problem. Driving in torrential downpours or a blinding blizzard? Big problem! Better find a way to get out of the storm fast!

5: When Ya Gotta Go... Didn't I tell you to go before we left? Well, even if you did, maybe you shouldn't have had that 44 ounce Super Big Gulp, because there's not another rest stop for miles. Maybe you can find an empty bottle in the back...

6: Road Delays Stuck in traffic? Stuck at road construction? Stuck in a funeral procession? Bridge out? Whatever it is, it's blocking your way. Do you wait patiently, or maybe find your own way around it.

7: Smokey and the Bandit Oh no, those blue lights behind you can't be good. Maybe you should just pull over and accept your speeding ticket like a decent citizen. Or, maybe you should floor it. High speed chase anyone?

8: Night Driving You decided to drive through the night, and now it's one AM and you're all out of coffee. Wake up a friend and make them help you stay awake; falling asleep at the wheel is dangerous!

9: Ghost Town Boy, this town sure is quiet. And... kind of creepy. Oh God, did something in those corn rows just move? I hear banjo music; DRIVE FASTER!

10: Roadkill Good going, you hit an animal. I sure hope you feel good about yourself. Now you've killed the poor- oh, it's still moving? What do we do now!?
      10a: The I Know What You Did Last Summer Edition That animal you hit was a little more human than you care for... oh          dear...

11: ROAD RAGE That jerk cut me off! How dare he!? I'll make him pay! Or maybe you cut off a less-than-friendly driver of your own, and now he's after you...

12: Carjacked Awww, that was a good lunch. ...Wait, I know this is where we parked... Dude, where's the car!?!?

13: Hitchhiking Who said you needed a car for a road trip? Stick that thumb out and catch a ride where you're going. Maybe you and a buddy are chillin' with the pigs in a trailer, or maybe that nice looking hitchhiker you picked up down the road is not as nice as you thought...

14: Fantasy Car Roads? Where you're going, you don't need roads. If you're in Doc's DeLorean, anyway. Or maybe the car is really Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Or a spy car. Or the Batmobile. Or a Transformer! Whatever it is, this car is NOT normal.

15: Obligatory Romance/Smut Option You're now parked in one of the make-out points in this town. Did you know? Well, that's up to you, as is what you do next.


16: Are We There Yet? Roller's choice! Pick your favorite option, or two, or three, or just roll with whatever feels right!

You're right. Why wouldn't we go out there with all those Peacekeepers with guns roaming the halls in the ship of the past? What could possibly be wrong with that plan?

[Besides, you know, everything. But, knowing The Doctor, that's not actually going to stop him.]

Okay, If we are gonna do this we could at least do with some camouflage. I've got Peacekeeper threads on already, but if they see you wearing...that, we are going to be shot instantly.

If we are here, then we've got to be here. Or at least I do. Might be best if you stay inside! Take a stroll, go visit the pool room. I've got a library in here somewhere you might like.

[ Sorry, the Doctor is already striding to the door and popping up his collar. ]

Or the butterfly room! You might like that one too.

And oh, don't worry. They won't even notice the outfit. Which is rude, given how cool bow ties are.

They'll notice. I promise you. They really only have one fashion trend man: black, red and leather.

[He rushes to catch up. He's not just going to sit around while The Doctor goes out there. No way!]

And my blue box parks right in front of people and they never notice it. That is the thing about humanoids! They only see what they want to see, and usually not even then. You'd think with 20/20 that they'd be able to see much more around them!

[ The Doctor turns his head and grins. Nailed it. ]

I was hoping you'd say that. Although! I don't think you'll want to step on any butterflies.

They have better than 20/20 and so do I! They're gonna notice the big blue box. It doesn't fit the color theme. Tell me you have a way to hide it.

[Tell him before he has an actual heart attack about this. He does not appreciate your humor right now.]

I'd hate to cause a tsunami...

[He follows The Doctor out of the box, still looking more than apprehensive.]

But something tells me we're about to make waves.

How about a bet, eh? If they don't notice the TARDIS? You owe me a proper look around Moya of your time. If they do? Then I take you and Aeryn somewhere nice for a date.

[ Best not to wager, but what the hell. The Doctor does anyways. ]

Good thing that you haven't found the space butterflies yet. [ He dusts his hands off before clapping them together. ] Right! We've got to head to the major control room. You should know where that is.

A bet? fine, you're on.

[They could use a vacation.]

Sometimes I can't tell if you're joking or not...[Space butterflies?]

[should he even bother pointing out that the control room will be full of Peacekeepers? He'll start sounding like a broken record. Fine, let's just do this. He steps around the corner and starts to lead the way.]

I am never joking about bets. Especially if I've got something important like chaperoning a date on the line. Oh, you meant the butterflies.

[ Well both are pretty important so. ]

[Crichton stops at a bend in the hall. Voices can be heard coming from further down. This will make it interesting.]

We have to go this way, but I don't see how we are supposed to make it past these guys. Got any tricks up those sleeves?

Now why would I do that? Especially since I will win.

[ He bumps into the human but stands back with his hands up. No offense meant. ]

Of course I do. Why wouldn't I?

[Crichton shushes him, warning to keep his voice down with a finger held up.]

I think they are heading down the hall. If we are quick, we cam make a run for that door. I just hope no one is on the other side of it. If they are, have those tricks ready.

[ Right! Okay, Crichton is the boss man. He holds his own finger to his lips. Silent--quiet! Not something he usually is. But he will try.

The Doctor nods and tosses his sonic up in the air. Yes. The sonic screwdriver verses their guns. ]

Okay, let's move.

[He makes a two fingered signal to move and runs as silently as he can across the hall to the doorway. He waves his hand in front of the door, and it opens to reveal...three well armed Peacekeepers on patrol.]

Can't ever be easy can it...?

[The Peacekeepers have their weapons drawn and targeted instantly. Crichton freezes and puts his hands up in surrender.]

Don't shoot!

[He's trying for the accent, but it's been a while.]

[ The Doctor presses himself against the door and peeks in. That is definitely quite a few armed Peacekeepers. There is a glance sent to John as the Doctor raises his screwdriver. A few systems registering as haywire might keep someone else on the ship a bit busy while they deal with this lot.

Then he pockets his tool and steps out with John, hands up. ]

Yes, hello! Don't shoot. There's really no point in shooting us.

They don't usually need a reason other than 'look, a stow-away' to shoot Doctor.

Are you stow aways? [This from the apparent leader of the group of armed soldiers. She's got her rifle aimed squarely at Crichton.]

Would you believe me if I said we were just passing through?

[The sound of cocking weapons answers that question well enough. Doctor? Now would be a good time for some help.]

[ He sends John a look--don't mention that sort of thing!

He steps up and shows off the psychic paper. From his experiences, Peacekeepers aren't very bright in the whole regard. Give enough proof you are high command and they roll with it. ]

No, we are not! Just because we look like stow-aways certainly means we are not. Don't you lot know there is a war going on? We've been undercover in a nearby system. See? Credentials and everything you'll need right here. We've been out of contact with Command for a few months now.

Don't worry about it.

[Without her aim budging from Crichton, she leans in to inspect the paper. Crichton gulps audibly; in his experience Peacekeepers don't even use paper. Her skeptical look says a lot.]

Well, Captain, let me see your ident. chip.

[Yes, this is what Crichton was afraid of. Time for some quick thinking.]

If we were undercover in enemy territory, why would carry our ident. chips with us? If we were captured, anyone might use them.

[The Peacekeeper seems to be considering that. Here's hoping she will buy it and whatever was on that paper The Doctor was flashing.]

[ The Doctor nods to Crichton. ] Yes, what my partner has said. You know how the locals in the systems can be. If they even get a tiny hint of you being a Peacekeeper? Deal is done and nothing actually gets done. Hardly our fault that high command thought it best if we be in complete incognito.

[ He shoves the psychic paper in her hand for just an added effect. Just in case she needs to see it a bit closer. ]

We've been posing as merchants for one of the nearby Sebacean colonies, pretending to be looking for supplies to ship home.

[The woman takes the paper and scrutinizes it closely, then tosses it back without further comment.]

Not in those clothes you haven't.

[Damn, this woman's not going to be easy to convince.]

Not in these, no. We aren't on that mission now are we? I got changed, he hasn't yet. We only just got onboard. Isn't that right Doctor?

[ The Doctor huffs and takes his papers back. How rude of this woman, honestly. ]

Exacto-mundo. He had an extra pair handy while mine were sort of... well. There was a fight one night, some explosions and you know what happens to fabric when it is caught on fire.

Anyways.

Why are you being so stubborn about all of this? We are your superiors, or did you miss that part in the identification papers? We ought to report you to our higher command for the distrust and delay.

I do not think High Command will fault me for doing my job throughly.

[She sounds unimpressed, but finally eases her gun down. The soldiers behind her follow suit.]

On your way.

[She stands aside, and Crichton wastes no time walking past her.]

Come on Doctor. Let's go.

Yes. Thank you, by the way, for the cooperation. We'll be certain to recommend you highly.

[ And with that he motions for Crichton to move on ahead. ]

[Crichton just smacks a hand over his eyes. Recommend them? He almost expects them not to buy it and make them stop again. Thankfully, they don't, but he can feel their eyes on them as they head out.]

Okay Doc, where to now, genius?

[ Ssssh. Hope for the best! ]

We've got to find out what is going on that the TARDIS would bring us here. Perhaps make sure one of your friends ends up on the ship? Or, oh, maybe making sure that Moya doesn't become free too soon.

[ He frowns. ] Not that I like either of those options, but, time is a delicate thing. Somethings can be changed easily and others can't. It's up to you if you want to change things here and now. Though you'll end up remembering two different versions of your history.

If I change things, I could just make it worse.

[He doesn't like thinking he would have to help prevent Moya from getting her freedom, but if she does who will be there to pick him up when his little pod come careening into the uncharted territories in the future? Who even knows what would happen to him then?]

Let's just get to command and see if we can find out where we are, and where we're going. We are almost there, it's just through this door ahead.
