The Bite Meme

THE BITE MEME

✚ Leave a comment with your character's name, fandom and any preference.
✚ Go to ye olde RNG and roll to your heart's content. You could even skip the rolling. We won't tell.
✚ Remember, six for the location and six for the type.
✚ Tag whoever you want. Let no one go unbitten.
✚ Show us your teeth.

the LIP bite. Sometimes kissing isn't enough, or sometimes you're too nervous to even talk. Bite a lip. It doesn't even have to be yours.

the THROAT bite. You don't want to suck their blood, but you want them to know how thin this flesh is here.

the ARM bite. It's silly, but want to let them know how they're of you. Bites on the arm are usually childish and done in anger or playfulness.

the LEG bite. Know what long legs need? A nice set of teeth sunk into them. Just look at those thighs. Or you could always bring new meaning to the term "ankle biter".

the COLLAR bite. This one's for all you people who don't like turtlenecks. Bites leave marks, and well, some people don't want to show theirs off like trophies.

the HIP bite. Know what's hot? Teeth on your hip. Marks there are definitely enough to make anyone weak in the knees. If that's not what you're into, just remember there are more reasons than just sex to bite someone, especially here.

the GENTLE bite. No one said biting had to be hard. This one's meant more for lovers. Little nibbles on the earlobe or pulse are always nice.

the BRUISING bite. Don't break the skin on this one. You want to leave a nice impression of your pearly whites on the other person, enough so afterwards you can enjoy that darkened mark.

the BLOODY bite. Biting has ill repercussions. Whether it's on purpose or an accident, there's blood, and possibly lots of it.

the HARD bite. This one doesn't bruise, but it does leave a nice impression of your teeth. All that orthodontic work really paid off.

the TEASING bite. No, no, no. Don't just sink your teeth in all at once! Ease your partner into it. Bite softly again and again before letting yourself clamp. You want to let them know you might not do it.

the PINCHING bite. All front teeth. Don't let anything further than your canines feel your partner's flesh. This one's just to let them know they irritated you, or it could just be that your mouth slipped. Sorry!

i didn't think you were going to have chris turn, so i was surprised when you suggested it!

Just when he thought their dynamics had settled, it was shifting again. The growl gave him a pause, the set of his shoulders and the frown he wore broadcasting his reluctant obedience loud and clear. What would change between them? What would stay the same? Possibly not as much as he thought, considering the push and pull they were already engaging in.

Chris had a point, but he's also never been a werewolf. "That was when you were human. In case you haven't noticed, I bit you, you turned into a werewolf."

But maybe the best learned and taught lesson would be experience. With that in mind, he slowly said, "She's alone. I didn't have time to call Scott, but she might have." Finally, he relented, moving his hand. "Fine. We'll go. But depending on what happens, I will make you sit and wait in the car with Malia."

Because what he's planning to do was nothing short of torture, the cold rage slowly resurfacing from where it had previously been crushed under the weight of his worry.

"I know. I know. It's not subtle." Even though his body was exhausted from the change Chris knew all his old aches and pains were gone. He felt younger, that's what it was like. His senses were on overdrive and he had this second part of him, primal animal instincts, that were louder than before. He absolutely refused to give them any inch of control. The human part of him was familiar and he still wasn't exactly ready to let go of it.

It surprised him how easily Peter seemed to relent. He fully expected Peter would make him wait here while he took care of things. Chris slowly sat up again, swinging his legs over the edge of the bed. This time he reached out for Peter to keep himself steady.

"Call Scott and tell him what happened. I need to wash this blood off and change into new clothes." Chris' shirt was ruined and stained with dried blood. He could feel it sticking to his skin and flaking off the more he moved. Worse, he could smell it. His nose didn't seem to like the scent of his own blood. "And call Malia. If he's still unconscious have her search him and strip him of weapons. Make sure they're not in his line of sight. He'll think he can get them if he can see them."

Werewolves lived longer than humans, which was another selfish reason why he'd wanted Chris to take the bite before. Now that it was done, there would be no turning back. Personally, he thought Chris would adapt well to it, given some more time.

This would be the first test. It was extreme, and perhaps a wiser move would've been to start off by testing his control with something smaller and in less charged of a situation, but nothing hammered home change like— well, like a traumatic experience, or anything that left an impression. Besides, he was prepared for the fallout, and Chris was considerably more acquiescent to him than Scott ever was.

"Remind me who the Alpha is here again," he said, mouth twitching as he readily steadied Chris, seeking out his pulse with his thumb. Once satisfied, he released him and nodded. The suggestions were sensible, leaving him with no reason to protest. "I'll do that. Get yourself clean."

Peter was used to the daily assault of scents in a way Chris wasn't yet. Getting rid of the cloying scent of blood would be a relief for him. He paused, and drew closer to Chris, expression softening. "I'm glad I didn't lose you today."
griefbeard: ([others] peter)

place your bets now for how long it'll take Chris to accept he's a beta and not an alpha

[personal profile] griefbeard 2017-03-21 04:31 am (UTC)(link)
If Peter was expecting a sudden streak of obedience to suddenly appear in Chris because he was now an actual werewolf in Peter's pack he would be vastly disappointed. He was still a stubborn bastard with his own sense of purpose and direction.

He couldn't help but soften just a little bit towards Peter in return. Maybe it was something about the sweet scent in the air around him but it was hard to tell. Chris was relying on the instincts in the background to tell him what scents meant but he couldn't be confident.

"I'm not done with you," he said in return then leaned forward and kissed Peter gently.

When he drew back Chris pushed up onto his feet and drew on years of training as a hunter to get himself moving towards the bathroom on legs that weren't really strong enough for that.

Beta he may be, Peter would never expect Chris to be blindly obedient. That particular trait was useful in its own way, but he much preferred people who could think for themselves. No, his only point was that Chris actually listened and considered what he had to say, unlike Scott back in the day. Not that he could really blame him then, or much now.

Keeping an eye on Chris's unsteady walk to the washroom, he didn't start to move until he was satisfied Chris was in no danger of toppling over on his way in. As much as he'd like to join him in the shower, he had business to wrap up. His first call was to Malia, checking in on her status and relaying the advice Chris gave. The second was to Scott, informing him briskly of recent developments with a warning to watch his back, and a reassurance that everything was under control. They tended to communicate better when not face to face.

All the while, he split his attention to Chris in the shower, making sure he wouldn't slip in the shower without him hearing it. He ended up rinsing off the most of the blood on his face and hands in the hall bath, knowing that if he got in with Chris, he wouldn't want to leave for some time.

The bloodied clothes he kept on. No sense in ruining two outfits in one day. By the time Chris wrapped up in the shower, Peter was in the kitchen, devouring a sandwich piled mostly with meat. There was another waiting for Chris.

It was a struggle to stay up in the shower. His legs were so tired. His whole body was but he pushed through it. Chris could fight through pain. He could fight through this.

When he got out of the shower he stood in front of the mirror and stared at himself. There were no scars from the gunshot wounds to his chest. All his other scars remained but he stared at his reflection a little longer before he closed his eyes and then opened them to see what color they were. Chris was more relieved than he would admit that they weren't bright blue. Thank God. He hadn't killed an innocent person.

Chris dressed in clean clothes and followed the sound of Peter's heartbeat to the kitchen. When he smelled food his stomach growled loudly and he went straight for the sandwich. "Thank you."

He hadn't realized how much his body needed this until he took the first bite.

"Of course," he said, reaching out to thumb at the nape of Chris's neck. Never particularly subtle about scent marking to begin with, he didn't bother to conceal what he was doing now. Chris smelled fresh from the shower, and not enough like him anymore, although these days there was always a hint of Peter about him from continued, close proximity.

His own family used to be tactile in this same, effortless manner, the mannerism returning slowly throughout his relationship with Chris. After the fire, too much was raw and abraded between him and Derek to ever fall back into that pattern. Speaking of which, he really needed to get in touch with him now more than ever.

One thing at a time. Finished with his own sandwich, he took his plate to the sink and rinsed it off, turning back to Chris after, eyes flicking over him.

The bond between them was there, but it's a new, tentative thing. He didn't rely on it wholly. "How are you feeling?"

When Peter's scent joined his own on a stronger level Chris relaxed slightly. It was like part of him was waiting for it, recognized that without Peter's scent there his own scent wasn't right. It was a little weird in his brain, that the wolf took his relationship with Peter so seriously.

"Like I'm been up three days straight with no rest." Chris spoke between bites of sandwich. Had he always enjoyed good meat this much? Or was it the wolf? Untangling this mess of instincts was going to be a long term learning processes. It was like his whole mind had been shifted slightly to the left and he needed to relearn everything. "The change in my senses is... the most distracting part."

He wanted to bury his face against Peter's neck and breathe him in. The smell of the meat in the sandwich seemed intensely strong and appealing. His was trying to pick one thing to focus on and keep from getting distracted by everything else.

"I can hear your heart beating," he said with a little laugh. "It's really distracting."

The differences between bitten and born wolves were nuanced, but very much present. A born wolf simply grew into their control in a way bitten ones struggled with. They lived with their heightened senses for their entire life and couldn't imagine being without them. For Peter, the myriad of information he had to work with was as natural as breathing.

"You'll get used to it," he said. "Learn to control it, with some practice. It might even be easier for you, because you still remember what it's like to not have that extra boost to your senses."

What it was like to be human, in short. Falling silent, he considered his words at length before speaking again. "I know you would've preferred to stay human."

But he left it at that, struck by an uncharacteristic fit of inability to wield his words as he wanted.

[personal profile] griefbeard 2017-03-22 02:06 am (UTC)(link)
"I would have," he said quietly because there was no point in denying the truth. Being human was very important to Chris. Too often he saw death and destruction because someone lost sight of their humanity. It wasn't just monsters but humans too. Keeping that part of himself whole and real was something Chris focused on. "But I haven't lost it. It's still there. There's just also a wolf there too."

There was something in Peter's scent that Chris didn't understand but he could read his silence well enough. He didn't need heightened senses to tell him that Peter felt a little conflicted. He reached out for Peter and drew him into his arms, holding him tightly for a moment.

"I'd rather be a werewolf and alive than a human and dead." He didn't necessarily fear death but he wanted to live. He had a lot to live for now. Being with Peter had given him a better sense of purpose and ended the loneliness that was closing in on him. Now there was a physical sensation of the bond between them as pack and everything was more intense. "You can be a little smug, okay?"
deceitful: (remember that time)

[personal profile] deceitful 2017-03-22 02:29 am (UTC)(link)
Had he gotten to Chris sooner, had he not let him out of his sight, they could've avoided this debacle all together. How Chris had almost slipped from his fingers was the worst part of it, reminding Peter of a vulnerability that existed within himself. The fear of loss. The price to pay for having. A disquiet in knowing everything could disappear with one careless mistake. Even though they'd avoided a worst case scenario, he remained restless.

But perhaps the cause of that was the two threats left to take care of. The hunter, and then Gerard. Once he dealt with them, he would breathe easily again.

There was an almost guilty relief within him too, with having Chris turned without further argument over it. Every so often he'd thought about it— biting him without permission. Chris would never have seen it coming, but he would have viewed it as a betrayal. Now, the problem had resolved itself neatly.

So he turned into Chris with a huff of laughter, stroking his fingers through his hair. "You're still with me and still mine, so I suppose a little smugness isn't out of turn."

Chris took the time to scent Peter as well, rubbing his fingers against the back of his neck over and over to leave his scent there. Everyone knew that Peter was his but scent was stronger, more real to him now in a way it wasn't before. He had always found Peter's need to scent him but now he understood.

"That's one of the few things that hasn't changed about me." He took a second to rest his forehead against his, a reassuring gesture, and pulled back. "You're still stuck with me."

He let go of Peter and quickly finished his sandwich. A little food seemed to help the tired feeling. He rolled his shoulders and went to get a gun even though he technically didn't need it. "Let's get this done with."

Chris wanted this finished. He wanted this business with his father done.

The gun wasn't a bad idea. Better for Chris to stick with what he knew rather than try to dive headfirst into dealing with everything that came with being a werewolf, claws and fangs and all. Testing that out could come later.

"I hope you understand that I won't be stopping with this hunter alone," he said once Chris joined him in the hallway. "Someone sent him, and we both know who."

Gerard should never have been left alive, and Peter had every intention of making sure he wouldn't be for much longer, with or without Chris's agreement. He wouldn't make him stick around and watch, but it would happen. No more tolerating threats out of leniency for remaining sentimentality or weakness.

Before long, they were back in the car, with Peter behind the wheel.
griefbeard: ([beard] advice)

[personal profile] griefbeard 2017-03-22 03:05 am (UTC)(link)
Chris understood it was his father at the heart of this. Gerard had gone the way of Kate, even though he was still human he was a monster. There was no saving him. There was no locking him up away from others either. Gerard had found a way and he turned on his own family. On Chris.

"You know I can't agree to that," he said after a long minute of silence riding in the car together. Even though his father had tried to kill him he couldn't agree to killing him. Chris laid his head back against the headrest of his seat and took a long, deep breath. "He's still my father."

And Chris was weak when it came to family. He couldn't kill Kate. He couldn't kill Gerard.

"I know I can't stop you either."

"You can't stop me," he agreed, glancing over at Chris, eyes catching briefly on the vulnerable curve of his throat. He reached over and squeezed his thigh, left it there to rest afterwards. "I'm only telling you as a courtesy. I'll do for you what you can't bring yourself to do."

Gerard Argent had been a monster long before Peter ever was one. Funny how humans were the worst of the lot in the end, the capacity for what could only be termed evil inevitably present in them. The world wasn't in black and white, he was perfectly aware, but regardless of whether or not Gerard had some sort of tragic backstory, it wouldn't change his fate. His mind was made up.

"But it's also for myself. I dislike letting threats go unchecked, you know that."

[personal profile] griefbeard 2017-03-22 04:10 am (UTC)(link)
This was probably the first time he really felt conflicted. If Gerard had been a werewolf, Chris wouldn't hesitate to put him down for all the pain and death he had caused. He would pull the trigger and not feel an ounce of regret for it. This was his father, though, and there was a part of him that wanted to stop Peter.

He rubbed a hand over his face and let out a long sigh. "Just be careful. If he's able to do what he's done to us while locked up he might catch word that you're coming for him. He's old but he's still a legendary hunter for a reason."

He put his hand over Peter's and tangled their fingers together. Chris would always worry about Peter, though his whole argument for turning Chris before this had been to make him safe. Gerard knew how to kill a werewolf, even an alpha.

"And, maybe, make it quick for me?" Gerard didn't really reserve the mercy but Chris had to ask.

Pulling their joined hands towards him, he kissed Chris's knuckles without taking his eyes off of the road. "I'll be circumspect."

This was a conspiracy with Gerard at the heart of it, and it was time to clean house, and there was no other way to do that than by getting his hands dirty. He doubted Gerard would be the only person he killed by the end of the ordeal, but he'd be as discreet as possible. Careful. The wrong kind of attention wasn't what he wanted, and nothing called for vultures like death. All he wanted— all every instinct screamed at him to do was to protect himself and his own, whatever the cost.

Soon enough, the preserve came into view. A short trek in would bring them to the Hale house. Speaking of which, maybe it was time to have it torn down. All it was nowadays was a reminder of lost times, memories tainted by hunters using it as a base.

Before he got out of the car, he gave Chris's hand a final squeeze. "Follow my lead."

[personal profile] griefbeard 2017-03-22 12:26 pm (UTC)(link)
It was strange getting out of Peter's car. The forest around them was alive in a way Chris never experienced as a human. There were so many competing sounds and smells practically assaulting his senses. He narrowed his focus on the important things like Peter's heartbeat, the heartbeats of Malia and the hunter. It helped deal with the madness around him but he'd need some time and practice like Peter said.

He followed behind Peter, his hand resting on the familiar and reassuring grip of his gun. When they went down the stairs into the basement Chris could smell his own blood. It had stained the dirt and mixed with the wet ground. It was not the most appealing smell but he pushed it away because the wolf inside him saw the hunter and wanted blood.

It wasn't until he hit Peter's back that he realized how quickly the wolf had gotten control. Chris physically yanked himself back and wrested control back from the animal inside that wanted blood and revenge. That was always part of his personality but it was also not a part he wanted to have control. He was stronger than that.

The suffocating tang of Chris's blood spilled and lingering in the air was easily bypassed; Chris was, after all, by him, perfectly safe and sound. In the basement, Malia was waiting for them. She took one look at Chris and her features morphed into something like relief. The hunter was still unconscious.

Peter nodded at her, was on the verge of speaking when Chris collided with him from behind. He's quick to whirl around, grasping the back of Chris's neck firmly, dragging his thumb over his skin in small circles. Truth was, Peter's at the zenith of his power lately, brimming with it. He would never have brought Chris along with him otherwise. That, coupled with years of helping the younger members of his family with control made him confident.

"Shhh," he crooned, flashing his eyes at Chris. The stroke of his thumb was a lazy, soothing repetition, grip never tensing into anything stronger than that same, inexorable pressure. "Easy now. You don't want to miss a second of this, do you? And you can't do that if you don't stay with me."

Peter's touch helped. The wolf in him responded to the alpha in Peter and calmed. Along with Chris' own stubborn self-control he brought himself back and nodded at Peter. "I'm with you."

Malia watched them closely, head tilted at a slight angle. She had seen more of the two of them than anyone else in the pack. Touches like this shouldn't be strange to her. They were familiar to Chris, comforting and easing. The wolf in him was certainly happy to be around the alpha and wanted to please him desperately. Chris thought it a little stupid but he was learning.

He nodded to Peter to reassure him that he was okay and stepped away. Chris stood behind him, keeping Peter between himself and the hunter. If he lost control again Peter could stop him.

It was a dance of instinct, everything from Chris's reaction to Peter's touch to his own pleasure in the obvious obeisance. Resisting the urge to pull him closer and run his nose along Chris's throat was a trial unto itself. But there was business to be taken care of, and so that would have to wait.

Leading them towards the hunter with his body carefully angled as a buffer between Chris, the hunter, and lastly, Malia, whom he asked to leave and thanked with a murmur. It was unlikely Chris would lash out at her— she smelled a little like Peter, these days— but just in case. She did after a moment's hesitation. No doubt she knew what would come next, but she'd seen and smelled the blood on the ground, and if Scott had any problems with their dealings with the hunter, at the very least Peter was sure she'd side with them.

Onto the hunter. He wasn't bound, but stripped of all his weapons, lying on the basement floor. Peter stepped towards him, easily pulling him up by the front of his shirt for examination. The hunter looked unremarkable. They usually did.

"Did you know him?" he asked, glancing at Chris.

After business was done they could explore the changes in their relationship now that Chris was a werewolf. Alone. In their apartment. For a long time. The tension was there for Chris too, this interest in Peter that felt different than before.

"We hunted together," he said, crossing his arms across his chest. "He's one of those devoted to the hunt and really respected the Argent name. He's good too."

He wondered if this man knew that his father had tried to become a werewolf. That his sister turned into a werejaguar somehow. The Argents had fallen from grace but his father had used the name very, very well. Gerard had played this bastard like a fiddle.

"I respected him at one point." Now the wolf inside Chris wanted to gut the man and watch him die slowly of blood loss.

As a general rule, Peter's not endeared towards hunters. Came with the territory of being a werewolf, and the added history of them decimating nearly his entire family. The usual. One less in the world, particularly one that tried to kill the sole hunter he felt anything resembling affection towards would be no loss.

"Well," he said, "an unfortunate loss for the hunter community, then."

How to start? Slow, he decided. He wanted to see the realisation dawn on the hunter's face when he understood what was happening. That he would be dying here tonight at the hands of what he hunted. Claws emerging, Peter drew them over his cheek almost tenderly, blood immediately welling up red and hot in rivulets to the surface.

"Breathe through your mouth," he offered as advice to Chris. It's a balancing act; Peter had his attention split between him and the groaning, awakening hunter. "And his name is?"
griefbeard: ([beard] questioning)

[personal profile] griefbeard 2017-03-23 02:47 am (UTC)(link)
Chris took another step back though it really wouldn't do anything considering the strength of his senses now. It was an entirely human effort to get away from the scent of blood that made his gums sore with the effort of holding his fangs back. It was a little easier, oddly, watching Peter draw blood.

His alpha was taking care of it and the wolf could be satisfied with that. He wasn't entirely happy with that instinct, that thought tickling the back of his mind but he was painfully independent in some ways. This was new and probably the most unsettling part of being a werewolf.

"His name is Andrew. We called him Drew." Chris ran his tongue over his lips, almost tasting the blood in the air. Peter's bloodthirsty nature suddenly made a little more sense. It was so strong. The control his lover had over it was impressive.
deceitful: hollow-art (can't sleep cause my bed's on fire)

Not usually prone to bloodthirst so much as ruthlessness, he'd say. Even when he went mad following the coma, he'd been efficient and quick enough about who he killed. But that might've had more to do with circumstance than anything. A big list to go through, and people on his tail. Tonight— well, he might just give into that urge to rend and tear the hunter who had the audacity to touch what was his.

But he had to keep a tight hold of control on himself, too. The last thing they needed was to spiral into a rampage fueled by blood here. He's clear-headed now, Chris close by and calming. If he wanted it, Peter wouldn't deny him a turn at the hunter. Should he not be overwhelmed, that was.

"Andrew, or Drew," he repeated. The hunter opened bleary eyes at the call of his name. "Andrew for me, I think. After all, I hardly know him. Rise and shine, Andrew. We need to have a little chat."

Undisguised shock and fright was there, followed by a slamming down of the defenses as the man took stock of what was happening. He struggled, cursing and spitting at both of them. Peter's eyes were red now. He took hold of the hunter's wrist— a pause— a crack, and then a shout.

"I thought I heard you speaking with him when I was on my way over," he told Chris conversationally. "You said I would make him scream, didn't you?"
