3 Things Meme

3 things meme

This one's real simple!

  1. You post your character, along with three interesting things about them. Share interesting obscure things, headcanons, or tidbits that you'd love to play with in a thread. Up to you! Funny things, angsty things, weird things... your choice!
  2. Other people tag in; use the tidbit(s) for a starter, request a starter around one of them, whichever!
  3. ????
  4. Profit! RP!

Pied Piper/Hartley Rathaway | DC Comics

[personal profile] soundsmith 2017-03-17 02:10 am (UTC)(link)
1. Hartley was deaf until he got cochlear implants, and that's why he's so obsessed with sound.

2. He used to go around collecting donations for homeless shelters when he was still widely known as a villain while wearing his villain costume, because he got so many more donations that way.

3. Since he's already rich, Hartley never actually participated in heists because he wanted money. He just found it exciting to have heroes showing up to take him down.

[Ooh, it looks like they have a lot in common. They're also both Flash villains to the Barry Allen Flash before their eventual reform, so if we did something either with them both still villains or post reformation but still enjoying the adrenaline rush, that might give them another point to give them a reason to interact.]

Aika | Skies of Arcadia

[personal profile] blazearang 2017-03-17 05:20 am (UTC)(link)
1. Aika's actually got greater arm strength than Vyse - he just has way higher attack because he's hitting people with swords instead of throwing a boomerang.

2. Aika is left-handed.

3. Sticks the Badger is not Aika's fursona.

[ When you and your fellow shipmates all lived together either on a ship or on a funky crescent island, you ended up in their personal business a lot. Umi Ryuuzaki | Magic Knight Rayearth

[personal profile] dragon_blossom 2017-03-17 05:29 am (UTC)(link)
1. Umi's parents are rich. Like, mansion in Tokyo proper rich; they've done their best to instill a sense of responsibility in her, but she's still pretty spoiled.

2. Despite baking and decorating cakes for a hobby, Umi doesn't have much of a sweet tooth, forcing her to use her friends and family as guinea pigs for her recipes.

3. Umi's been interested in swords pretty much since she could understand the concept of knights and heroic quests, and has been fencing since she was seven.
thunder_tits: (Vert - Pouty)

Vert | Neptunia

[personal profile] thunder_tits 2017-03-17 05:57 am (UTC)(link)
1. Despite being extremely proud of being so busty, Vert gets shockingly insecure if she encounters someone bigger than her.

2. Those smartass Makers (developers) who use achievements with scores that aren't multiples of 5 are committing a crime against humanity, as far as she's concerned, but Leanbox doesn't have capital punishment. It's surprising she cares, since she goes for 100% with everything she plays.

3. When gaming on PC she's frequently alt-tabbing every time an instance loads or something to cram in some actual work. Load times are the reason she actually does much governance sometimes.

Raphael Santiago | Shadowhunters

[personal profile] nightchildren 2017-03-17 09:44 am (UTC)(link)
1. He has been a vampire since 1966.

2. He's asexual and demiromantic.

3. He make dinner once every week. Not for himself but to hand in to a charity because his sister is living there. Even if she doesn't remember him, he can't forget her.

[personal profile] nightchildren 2017-03-17 11:16 am (UTC)(link)
[Technically speaking he'd got enhanced senses, I suppose hearing might be one. Which would mean that he could hear heartbeats supposedly. Although he's more the kind of guy to sped up behind you.

The more troubling power of his would be Encanto which gives him the ability to erase memories and manipulate people easily.]

Are you familiar with Wesley's canon? (I ask if I should provide information about whatever.) C: I'm sadly canonblind of yours. ]
nightchildren: (Default)

[personal profile] nightchildren 2017-03-17 11:42 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not familiar with Wes canon, no. Shadowhunters TV-show is based upon a book series by Cassandra Clare called The Mortal Instruments. Basically it's an urban fantasy with Demons, Angels, werewolves, vampires, warlocks and Faeries.

But yes them running into each other at night and some flashing of fangs would be interesting.

I peeked at some of your info in your journal when you tagged me. Just to get some sort of feeling of your character. I've seen the movie a long time ago. That's all I know about the series.

Wesley is kind of enhanced. His heart beats 400 per minute and pumps adrenaline into his system, which allows him to do superhuman shit like reflexes and speed etc. He's basically a one man army. Killing is what he does.

Heh. Yeah, thanks. I don't remember much about the movie tbh.

I imagine he might. Feel free to have him do that. If you need some descriptions or something, I'm happy to provide. I realised that the wiki doesn't really give any idea of his "powers" or how this thing really works.
originalbeachboy: (Pallin' around)

Flint Marko (Sandman) | Marvel 616

[personal profile] originalbeachboy 2017-03-17 10:16 am (UTC)(link)
1) Her once had a promising career as a football player and had a sports scholarship- unfortunately, match fixing, getting kicked from the team and subsequent assault of his coach for it put an end to that. He occasionally mentions how much he'd like a super human sports league.

2) His powers are moderately psychic and he can absorb other people's personas as well as split into several of his own- on more than one occasion he has had various aspects of his personality wandering around in separate bodies.

3) Despite his mostly criminal career, his occasional bouts of super heroism have made him a fair few friends in the hero community and few members of the Avengers still owe him money from a poker game.

Wesley Gibson | Wanted

[personal profile] borntokill 2017-03-17 11:25 am (UTC)(link)
1. He can shoot you from miles away without seeing you. It takes a lot of planning and preparations, but it's doable. You'll really have to piss him off for that, though.

2. He sleeps 4 hours a night and still doesn't have black bags under his eyes. Instead he's explosive energy pretty much all the time he's awake. But when he falls asleep it's quick and wherever. Catnaps in a waiting line? Falling asleep on a stranger in a bus? Sure.

3. He's originally an accountant gone professional killer. He can also crunch those numbers.
toten_sie: (gulp)

Randel Oland || Pumpkin Scissors || OTA

[personal profile] toten_sie 2017-03-17 01:25 pm (UTC)(link)
1. His father/adopted father was a doctor and while he loves the woman who gave birth to him, he was technically 'mothered' by an entire brothel like the sex worker version of Diana of the Amazons as the only child that they all shared.

2. He doesn't actually eat meat; his meat rations are fed to the cats he takes care of in his 'home' under the bridge. He generally only eats the bread and vegetable tins and he loves salad.

3. He's triggered by hands reaching towards him.

[personal profile] springlocking 2017-03-17 01:46 pm (UTC)(link)
1. Her dad was a friggin' engineering genius who made robots...that unfortunately got possessed...oops.

2. She had a younger twin brother. She doesn't anymore.

3. She killed a man once, partly in self-defense and partly as revenge.
hobblepot: (cobbleplots)

[personal profile] hobblepot 2017-03-17 02:40 pm (UTC)(link)
1. A huge mama's boy. He still keeps her on a pedestal.

2. Perma-limp acquired when he ratted on his then-boss. Snitches get stitches. Old news he doesn't much like talking about. But yes, he's quite aware he has a waddling gait, thanks.

3. The experience of having legit friendships/deeper relationships is foreign to him after a childhood of ruthless bullying and how it has also shaped his self-perception. He can fall in love with almost anyone if they show him gentleness, legitimate care for his well-being, and respect, esp. when he's vulnerable.

Bonus - #4: His advice to a lonely kid was to try and see if he fits in with others. And if it didn't work out, to push anyone who is mean to him down the stairs. Spoken like a true mayor.
raventonbeauty: (Default)

Ashley Raventon | Lost Souls

[personal profile] raventonbeauty 2017-03-17 04:27 pm (UTC)(link)
[Mix of canon spoilers and headcanon.]

1. Ashley actually has very high knowledge of anatomy and medical science, but all of his expertise comes from century-old medical textbooks and helping his brother with occult rituals and corpse dissection, so he has absolutely no practical knowledge.

2. In the book, Ashley's already dead. His necromancer brother keeps his bleached skull in a box, pets it obsessively, and says that when he attempted to revive Ashley, Ashley "didn't want to come back."

3. Ashley identifies as male, even though his behavior is generally genderqueer. He has never tried cross-dressing, though he will happily dress his long hair with jewels and combs.
backwatertrooper: (looking up - ready)

Cloud Strife | FFVII (crisis core)

[personal profile] backwatertrooper 2017-03-17 06:18 pm (UTC)(link)
1. That thing in the OG where Cloud can talk to a chocobo? Totally true and Cloud can speak to chocobos... good luck getting him to reveal this or that he learned it from a chocobo hen getting overprotective when he was out alone and six, though.

2. Cloud sucks at cooking no matter what he does, but he's rather good at baking.

3. The reason he doesn't make SOLDIER is because he's too sensitive to mako - he lands under the cutoff line, no matter how generous it is.
overcunningly: (no hell for a firewatcher's daughter)

Margaery Tyrell | GOT/ASOIAF

[personal profile] overcunningly 2017-03-17 11:29 pm (UTC)(link)
1. Prior to her marriage to Tommen (this is more relevant regarding book canon, but true either way) she was technically a virgin. By the only standards that Westeros recognizes, i.e. heterosexual "virginity is lost by penetrative vaginal sex" standards.

(The truth is that being Renly's queen was pretty much a perfect arrangement because the both of them are/were incredibly gay. They'd just have sex for procreational purposes and then he could sleep with her brother and she could sleep with whatever pretty girls caught her fancy. They just never made it that far, and then her arrangements with the other so-called Baratheons weren't quite so open. She still planned on seducing pretty girls, just more covertly.)

2. She is a lot smarter than she lets on, of course, and grandmother Olenna is probably the only person who fully grasps how smart she is.

(Her final season's "religious conversion" was not, in fact, what it seemed, but another machination; she contrived of it by herself and not, as she usually did, with grandmother's help, which complicated matters because it meant she was the only one fully in on what she was doing. If Cersei hadn't gone completely mad, she would probably have gotten away with it and managed to get things at least partially untangled in order to live a decent life.)

3. Maybe it's just because she's from the South, but she's incredibly unselfconscious about her body. She knows she's beautiful, of course, but she also knows that skin is nothing to be shy about.
likesflowers: (so break me to small parts)

Raina | Agents of SHIELD

[personal profile] likesflowers 2017-03-17 11:38 pm (UTC)(link)
1. Despite her love for flowers, she doesn't typically cut them. A cut flower is a dead one, after all. (The only time she's seen with cut flowers in canon is the scene where she prophesies her own death to then-Skye. So.)

2. Sex and romance are definitely separate entities for her. She'll seduce people for business reasons, con reasons, etc., or she'll have sex with people she considers friends, or she'll have sex just to have sex. Romance is considerably more rare for her and she definitely does not always act sexually on what she considers her feelings of romantic love.

3. Her formal education is spotty, but she knows more than a little about a lot of things, including languages (she's picked up at least conversational ability in at least seven) and science (one plus of working semi-professionally with a lot of mad scientist types is picking up a lot of their trade).
mendacium: (write the end before the start)

Nora Gainesborough | True Blood

[personal profile] mendacium 2017-03-17 11:56 pm (UTC)(link)
1. In her human life, she was at the court of the King of England, and was one of his "favorites," which was a polite way of saying that she was his mistress (and pretty much everyone knew that). The affair hinged somewhat on the fact that she'd revealed to him her masochistic and therefore submissive sexual tendencies, and he enjoyed this, ultimately a little too much. When he'd gotten too violent and she'd had enough, she sought ways out, which led to the volunteer work that led to her human near-death that led to her being found and turned vampire.

2. In her vampire life, then, Nora's rules about sex are a lot stricter and more defined. She doesn't really do monogamy, but she does have some partners that she returns to and feels something like actual love for (Eric, of course, and Salome). With most partners, she plays the dominant role, inflicting the (completely consensual) pain and doing the (completely consensual) tying up; with the special few, she still tends more submissive, though Eric is without a doubt the only one she allows to tie her up anymore.

3. She's a giant know-it-all who makes it her business to do all of the research; she can speak a dozen languages fluently and a dozen more well enough to get by, she's a political genius and honestly not that far off from genius in most other subjects, she took it on herself to police media and culture for references to vampires prior to their official coming-out and made sure there were enough factual discrepancies to keep humans off the trail, so to speak. At the Authority, she often took the jobs the other Chancellors were wary of or uninterested in, which meant she very intentionally overachieved.
cyberland: (pic#10724793)

Maureen Johnson | Rent

[personal profile] cyberland 2017-03-18 12:04 am (UTC)(link)
1. She's really not close to her biological family anymore. They're not openly homophobic, but they are pretty awkward about her non-heterosexuality, and before that they were pretty awkward about her non-traditional life decisions.

2. She was a pretty spoiled only child, though, which... does kind of show.

3. Defining her sexuality has been more of a struggle than she lets on. It's easier to just say "lesbian" because people understand that, but she has been and occasionally still is attracted to men, too, and anyway gender is kind of made up so does it really matter? She's lately resorted to "queer" or "Sapphic" since those are vaguer terms, but she'll use "lesbian" in situations where she doesn't have time to explain.
quiteafew: (Default)

Kurt Wagner | X-Men (X2)

[personal profile] quiteafew 2017-03-18 06:19 am (UTC)(link)
1. Kurt was raised in and followed the pagan path known as the Winding Way, as did Margali's other two children, and did not convert to Catholicism until his early twenties. This is why some of his oldest scars are runes instead of Enochian.

2. As a result of a handful of traumatic experiences, Kurt is afraid of dogs. He's particularly anxious around large dogs, though he highly dislikes all canines.

3. Having spent most of his life in the Munich circus, Kurt is fairly well-traveled. Previously the circus had traveled as far as Japan (once), however due to anticipated lack of profits the first time the circus toured in America was shortly before the events of X2.

Bonus 4. Though he grew up speaking both French and German and is otherwise fluent in both, his accent in the former is atrocious.
awfulsentimetal: (steam from their exhausts)

The Spine ♦ Steam Powered Giraffe

[personal profile] awfulsentimetal 2017-03-18 11:07 pm (UTC)(link)
1. His head and spine can be removed from his body. Unfortunately, there are no legs attached. No skittering here, folks. Slithering, though, that's a thing.

2. His interests include: spaghetti westerns, waffles, pop music, and being right.

3. He's a pacifist.
invented_misery: (Default)

Violet Baudelaire l ASOUE (post novels semi AU)

[personal profile] invented_misery 2017-03-19 07:04 pm (UTC)(link)
1. She's has plenty of inventions backfire over the years, most dramatic involved a steam engine.

2. She has scars (all minor) from Sunny's teeth when she was teething.

3. Dumpster diving for parts should be a sport to her.

Bonus: She's picked up a ton of random facts from being around Klaus.
