PET PERSON SHIPPING MEME!

PET PERSON SHIPPING MEME

>> premise

Hello, and welcome to The Care and Keeping of Your Pet! As you surely know, a pet is a big responsibility, and we're so glad you've decided to be a concientious master. A safe pet is a happy pet, and this handbook is certain to keep your precious lifelong friend as content as can be.

The history of the animal person is a long and difficult one, with their origins not being known even to this day. However, scientists believe that despite our common appearance - most animal people have humanoid forms except for the ears, tails, and sometimes teeth - we share no common ancestry, even if the ascent of this species corresponds with that of the homo sapien. We gained dominance over each breed thousands of years ago, beginning with the dog type, who have long been considered "man's best friend." Most breeds these days are docile and perfect for owners of any speed.

Of course, it is our duty as the superior species to take care of these animal creatures, and this is inherent in their genetic makeup. Everyone knows that an animal person, when matched with their correct human master, is loyal for life - a true "soulmate," if you will. Far be it for us to turn this away! Ever since the Great Domestication, these intelligent and loving animals have served us as friends, workmates, guardians, servants, and sexual companions and will for years to come. Despite recent hubbub from so-called "Pet People's Rights Activists," this way of life is wholesome and good. Scientific research shows that the natural desire of the pet person is to be owned and cared for by a human.

So, it's your first pet. What do you need to know?
As previously stated, pet people come in as many breeds as you can possibly think of. By far and away the most popular are the dog and cat types, but exotic birds and lizards have been gaining popularity among trendsetters from L.A. to Tokyo!
All pet types are best suited for certain jobs, and when hunting for one, it is best to search for a type that suits your needs best.
However, a "True Match" - when a pet person bonds with you and only you for the rest of their natural lives - comes naturally, and sometimes takes time before you can find the pet you will be able to give a forever home to.
According to all current research, pet people are completely sentient and like us in many ways. However, it is important to remember that they have many animalistic and feral characteristics. Do not be foolish and think that your pet is a person, despite the facts that many are clothed and may be allowed to read, write, and have "hobbies." Some traditional pet owners may eschew these frivolities, and that is within their right.
Pet people age more quickly than humans, at least physically, and many types have long lifespans. It is not uncommon for pets to be passed through the family. When getting your child their first pet, it's important to keep in mind that just because the pup is tiny now, a grown pet can be jumpy around a small child.
It is important to train a pet. Discipline will be necessary. This does not make you a bad owner. Failure to train early will result in a rebellious pet. Training is especially important if you want your pet to serve as a household servant.
Remember, your pet will be extremely protective of you, especially if you are Truly Bonded. It is best to socialize them early. A socialized pet is a perfect family pet.
These days, unowned and unbonded pet people are allowed to live as strays or "Frees" in certain designated areas. Some even hold "jobs." This is against their best interest, and owners who adopt these strays are to be rewarded. Still, the best place to get pets are from liscenced kennels or breeders.
Some masters find it beneficial to participate in activities with their pets, such as shows and other competitions.
Finally, much has been made about the sexual relationship between pet and master. This is a normal facet of the bond, and humans are sure to find pet people sexually alluring. But beyond that, it is only responsible and prudent for owners to care for their pet's needs. It is a well-known fact that the libidos of pet people are remarkably strong, and when they go into heat, it is usually more convenient for a master to relieve them. There is no risk of pregnancy. All rumors of hybrids are urban legends.
Despite this, masters must remember to not view their pets as romantic partners. Humans should stay with humans.

With that said, thank you and welcome to your first day as a pet's master!

>> how to play
Needless to say, The Care and Keeping of Your Pet is a bit biased and full of propaganda, but it gives a good idea of the world your character is now AU's into. They are either a pet person or a human master, and what that means for them varies.

So are they a devoted pet or a rebellious animal person looking to buck the system? A generous master or a cruel sexual sadist? Just a normal pet owner? Most likely they're something in between, but when you're raised in this world, it's difficult to see anything different on the horizon.

Rules
Comment with your character and say whether they'd be a master or a pet. Ideally, they could be played as both. Mention what kind of each they'd be and what they'd be like, (ie: "Xx-chan is a bunny girl who is happy to please her master" or "Asterothia is a cat boy who is aloof but loyal to his true master"). For pets, be sure to include features ("wolf ears, tail, teeth).

REMEMBER, pet does not automatically equal submissive and master automatically equal dominant. This is not a BDSM setting though BDSM can be included. How far you want to go with the actual "pet" aspect is up to you, as well. Your pet could just be your slightly-furry roommate or soulmate!
Comment to others.
Play out the scene.

>> prompts
This by now means an all-inclusive list, but it should get you going in the right direction.

First Time Pet/Owner: Usually, pets are gotten at a young age; you're an old dog. Can you learn new tricks?
True Bond: What all masters and pets yearn for...the pet's loyalty and adoration for life.
Love: It's expected for masters to love their pets, but to love them? Romance is strictly forbidden.
Old "Couple": Master and pet have grown together and know each other. You know, know each other.
Loss of Master: The pet has lost their master, perhaps even their True Bond. Is it possible to move on?
Young Master/Older Pet: Pets age quicker than masters, so it's possible to end up with a bit of an "age" difference.
Family Pet: This pet's been raised as part of the family. What happens when their feelings for a family member get more than platonic.
For Your Protection: You don't want to be a master, but you have to take in a pet for their protection lest they be in danger from the general public.
Stray: You're a stray or a "Free." Can you live like this with your biology screaming for you to make a match?
Servant: You're more servant than pet.
All Sex, All the Time: The only purpose for this pet is to service the master, and not in a way that means cleaning their house.
Guard: You're a loyal bodyguard, a service pet. You'll do anything for your master. Anything.
Pet Play: This is for those who prefer to keep their animals on leashes, have them eat from bowls, and keep away from clothing.
Breaking In: Training is important with any pet.
In Love with Another Master...or Pet: To lust after another's master is no better than treason, and to wish to be with another pet just cruel!
Punishment: Bad dog, no nookie!
Heat: All pets go into heat, and it's the responsibility of the owner to take care of this problem. After all, unchecked dry humping kills thousands every year.
Breeding: Breeders know the best qualities in each type and mate the cream of the crop together to continue lines. It's a hobby for some, a calling for others.
Pregnancy: So, about that whole "hybrid" thing. It maaaay be more true than you think, even if pet/human pregnancies are the stuff of salacious tabloids.
Territorial: Hey, hey, other dog person! This is your apartment. Stay the fuck out!
Kennel: Kennels are where unadopted pets are kept. They're generally agreed to be depressing places. Why not volunteer at one, keeping the pets healthy and happy with the kind of affection only humans can show?
Rebelling Against the System: Damn the Man! Pet people are people, too! Just be careful not to get talk. You know what happens to bad pets.
Instant Attraction: You ever just look at someone and know they're the one? That they're...your master? But what if you've been trying to fight it? Well, don't try!
Dominant Pet: You might be the pet, but you call the shots, at least in the bedroom.
Pet Show: Everyone wants to show off how perfect their animal is. Look at that ass! And you'll never believe their special skills...
Therapeutic: Pets, especially those bred for their kindliness, are perfect therapy for those who've been through trauma and heartache.
Jealousy: Who's that around your master? Oh, hell no. They better not be touching them!
Petting: Pet people are absolutely gaga for being touched. Even the most steely ones turn to mush for rubs.
Games: Playing with your pet and giving them exercise is a key to happiness. Of course, with a pet person, you might want to use other toys instead of a ball.

Peter settled into Wade's arms, not really sure he wanted to move, even if it was for tacos. It was Wade's favorite comfort food and Peter had to admit, it was starting to grow on him. He meowed again, tail curling against Wade's stomach, flicking lightly against his abdomen.

Yeah....no. Wade, you are a world class dumbass; but don't worry, Peter loves you anyway.

Wade rubbed his cheek against Peter's, mimicking some of the things he'd seen Peter do in hopes of making him feel a little better. He rubbed his soft little cat ears, trying to help him feel better. He melted when Peter curled his tail around him.

"Come on, buddy. Let's go home and snuggle on the couch," he offered, hoping that was enough to get Peter to want to get up and go. The poor guy seemed so crushed.
spideyguy: (Default)

[personal profile] spideyguy 2016-07-14 06:12 am (UTC)(link)

When Wade started scenting him back Peter was...elated. His ears immediately perked up and he trilled excitedly, nuzzling Wade even harder. The promise of a night in on the couch, snuggled with his favorite person - well that was definitely enough to get him up, though Peter didn't stray very far at all from Wade's side.

beaarthur: (Before | laugh)

[personal profile] beaarthur 2016-07-14 06:39 am (UTC)(link)
Wade laughed. Well, maybe mimicking his pet's affection was something he needed to do more often because Peter seemed so happy. "Alright, alright, Petey Pie. I get it. You liked that. I'll remember this, okay?" he kissed Peter's temple. "You feeling better now?" He stroked Peter's hair, getting up so they could head back to the jeep.

[personal profile] spideyguy 2016-07-14 07:04 am (UTC)(link)
Peter yipped and wrapped his arm around Wade's snuggling in close to his side. Take that as you will, but he definitely liked being scented back...even if it did get some of Vanessa's scent on him. He could clean himself off later. Wade was scenting him, which was 1000x better than petting (but keep the petting up, still).
beaarthur: (Before | grin)

[personal profile] beaarthur 2016-07-14 09:01 am (UTC)(link)
Wade kissed the top of Peter's head as he helped the cat into the jeep before he got in himself. "Alright, Petey Pie. It's taco time."

They went to the little taco place close to home, picking up plenty for dinner before heading back to the house. Instead of sitting at the dinner table like proper people though, Wade insisted on them snuggling on the couch and watching Orange is the New Black as they ate their tacos. He wrapped Peter up in a blanket for comfort's sake. He seemed a lot better than he had at the park, but Wade wanted to take extra good care of his Petey Pie.

"Better?" he asked, two tacos already scarfed down.

[personal profile] spideyguy 2016-07-14 01:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Peter meowed, half curled on Wade's lap even as they drove. He was more than happy to take the couch instead of the kitchen, snuggling up close and eating his share of the tacos. Wade was being extra wonderful tonight and Peter mewled happily. All he wanted was to be close to his human.

Wade's fingers stroked through Peter's hair. He was so comfortable snuggling on the couch watching shows. "Feeling better, Petey Pie?" He stuffed another half a taco in his mouth. "You just relax, okay?" He kissed the top of his head.

Peter mewled, snuggling in close to Wade and licking a droplet of taco sauce off Wade's chin. Much better, tucked against Wade's side. He settled, closing his eyes and purring like a truck, loud and unashamed.

The next few weeks passed much the same - Peter was unaware of Wade and Vanessa talking, setting up the first mating session for him and Gwen. He's seen her a few times at the park, and yeah - Peter would say they were friends. He still got a weird feeling in his gut and became clingy afterwards, but if Wade minded he didn't seem to say anything about it.

They're going somewhere new today, and for all of his inquisitive meows, Wade still hasn't told him anything. His smile seems oddly forced and Peter is starting to worry.

But then they get to the apartment and knock on the door - when Vanessa opens it with a friendly greeting, Peter freezes. He can smell Gwen. And she's very fertile.
beaarthur: (Before | serious face)

[personal profile] beaarthur 2016-07-15 04:29 am (UTC)(link)
Any time Peter got a little clingy after a play session with Gwen, he honestly assumed it was because he missed her. So that was what solidified Wade thinking that mating the two was the best route. It still bothered him when they rolled around or were overly affectionate and he still couldn't understand why. It made him feel weird. Was he jealous of a fucking cat? Really? He was that codependent with the cat now that he wanted to monopolize all of his animal's affection. How sick was he really?

Sometimes it kept him up at night. He would lay in bed and stare at the ceiling, gut in knots over the whole mess.

So he called up Vanessa and said that yes, they could try mating the their cats and see where they got. And that was why they were here now. His hand was on Peter's lower back, rubbing circles into it without realizing it -- almost like it was a nervous tick. Wade waves at Vanessa and leans in to hug her tight, of course. The two had gotten closer over this time, but he still had no desire to rekindle their old romance. It was weird because he thought that if it was going to be with anyone, it would be her. Maybe he needed to force it. Who knew.

Wade instantly notices Peter freezing up and looks at him with concern. "What's wrong, buddy?"
spideyguy: (91)

[personal profile] spideyguy 2016-07-15 04:38 am (UTC)(link)
Moreso because Wade always ended up smelling like Vanessa, which rubbed him the wrong way and made him both frustrated and sad. The problem was, Vanessa trusted Wade's assessment of Peter e- since Peter couldn't talk to tell him what he wanted. Gwen had already agreed to mating Peter; with verbal confirmation.

It probably didn't help that Wade hadn't actually asked him.

Peter barely even has the thought to droop when Wade hugs Vanessa, eyes wide and maybe a little panicked. Gwen is definitely in heat and the mewling is starting, muffled, probably behind a door somewhere.

"He's probably just nervous. He should be able to smell Gwen from here. Peter's a cutie but he's skittish." Vanessa ruffled his hair gently, letting the pair into her apartment. "Isn't that right buddy? Aw, look Wade," She gestured to Peter's crotch, which had a noticeable bump. He had a chubby. That would be the pheromones.

[personal profile] beaarthur 2016-07-15 05:35 am (UTC)(link)
Yup. Big, dumb, caveman Wade assumed things and ended up being very, very wrong. He thought he was making Peter happy by letting him be with his little lady friend. In his head he was all yeah, boy get it! But that wasn't the reality and when Wade realized that, he would be devastated that he was the one that put his Petey Pie into this situation.

Wade continued to rub Peter's back, trying to calm him down. "It's okay, baby boy," he kissed his temple before he looked at Vanessa. "Yeah. He probably is." He looked down, face getting hot. Well. It was official. Wade was a god damn creep. The sight of Peter at half-mast was about to get him there himself. Now he was really feeling uncomfortable. As if this wasn't already bad enough. "Well, at least we know it works," he tried to joke to lighten the mood.
spideyguy: (93)

[personal profile] spideyguy 2016-07-15 05:51 am (UTC)(link)
Everything Peter didn't understand was rapidly clearing up. They wanted to mate them. That's the only reason Wade would have brought him here with Gwen smelling like that. He wasn't sure why that was so...upsetting, but it kind of was, and Peter whimpered, looking nervously between Wade and Vanessa, who were focused on...

Peter wasn't embarrassed, exactly - it was a biological reaction to a female in heat, he couldn't control it. Wade seemed oddly red for some reason, though. "Who in their right mind would fix a cutie like Peter?" Vanessa smiled and sat down on the couch. "Get him undressed, Wade. I'm sure his instincts will take over once we get him in there. Don't be shy, honey."
beaarthur: (Before | what?)

[personal profile] beaarthur 2016-07-15 06:12 am (UTC)(link)
That whimper about broke him. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea after all. He couldn't handle seeing Peter like that. "Petey, it's going to be okay. I know it might seem scary, but it's just Gwen. You love Gwen. If this takes, you two will get a litter of kittens and you can be a little kitty family." Wade was trying really hard. But that noise kept echoing in his head and he started to hesitate. "Ness, I don't know. He seems so uncomfortable. Maybe we shouldn't."

This was getting awkward quick. Was he doing the right thing?
spideyguy: (55)

[personal profile] spideyguy 2016-07-15 06:23 am (UTC)(link)
He thought he loved Gwen? Peter didn't even know what to do with that, ears flattening against his head. A litter. Kittens. Was Wade getting rid of him? Was he going to leave him with Gwen and Vanessa?

"Wade, please don't take this the wrong way - I know it's cause you care, but you're letting him run the show. Sometimes they need a little push. Peter's a naturally nervous cat." As far as she'd seen, anyway. He always seemed so clingy to Wade, which, maybe that was what Wade needed. "We can't try if we don't put him in the room. Maybe it won't work, but we can at least get him in the room and see."
beaarthur: (Before | are you fucking kidding me)

[personal profile] beaarthur 2016-07-15 06:41 am (UTC)(link)
Now that really rubbed Wade the wrong way. Oh. If looks could kill. He forced himself to calm down though because this was Vanessa. Sweet, loving, Vanessa. Yes, she was a sarcastic ass sometimes, but that only made him love her more back in the day. But the thought of pushing Peter into something he wasn't okay with was something that was definitely not okay with him. That really opened a can of worms. It bothered him when people looked at Peter like he was a lesser because he had cat ears.

He was still going to go along with it, but the way she said that was definitely not okay. So you just force a nervous animal to do something they might not want to do?, was what he wanted to say. That was just so wrong to him.

"I'll put him in the room, but that's it. If he is still acting like this and is uncomfortable, I'm not okay with this," he snapped a little, arm going around Peter protectively. Her viewpoint just seemed so clinical and detached. Wade turned to Peter, holding his face in his hands. "Look at me, baby boy. If this is something that will make you happy, I want you to try. If not, you come straight to that door and I'll take you home, okay?" he kissed his brow. Peter's little ears were all flat. This was really hard. This was one of those moments he would give anything for Peter to be able to talk. He just wanted confirmation. He wanted to know if this was okay with him or not because he had no clue if Peter was just nervous or if he hated this.

"Alright. So I have to get him undressed and then we're going to put him in the room with Gwen, right?" he asked Vanessa, still trying to make his tone more amiable. It was a little difficult right now.
spideyguy: (28)

[personal profile] spideyguy 2016-07-15 06:53 am (UTC)(link)
She really didn't mean any harm - she didn't know Peter like Wade did, and all the signs were pointing to a nervous cat who would be happy to mate under the right circumstances. Which she believed they had. And...yeah, maybe it was true that she thought of Peter as lesser, especially given the fact that he couldn't talk. But she'd never say so out loud; it just was what it was.

"Of course," Vanessa said gently, keeping calm even with Wade snapping at her. He was probably just nervous too - look at how attached he was to Peter. The second the cat so much as mewled he bent over backwards. Peter had Wade wrapped around his tail.

"Mrrrreow?" Peter looked up at him with wide eyes. Make him happy? This was supposed to make him happy? He was so terribly confused. What was Wade trying to do with him?

"I can do it, if that would make you feel better, Wade. I'm training to be a professional, here." Vanessa offered, and you could tell it was purely out of kindness that she did. A peace offering.
beaarthur: (pic#10392599)

[personal profile] beaarthur 2016-07-15 07:15 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. He was a mess right then. His gut was going crazy. This didn't feel right, but he was battling what himself. This was Vanessa. Things would be okay. He needed to calm down. He knew he was being irrational. This was probably his anxiety from the PTSD acting up right now and he needed to chill the fuck out.

Wade rubs Peter's little sad ears, unable to handle it.

"I can't do it, Ness. I'm sorry. It's going to have to be you. Don't push him too hard, okay? God. I need a fucking drink," he leans against the wall, head in his hands. Why is this so stressful right now? It was supposed to be simple. They'd get here, Peter would get his freak on and they'd be good. Right? Then why did he feel like his insides were scrambled?
spideyguy: (22)

[personal profile] spideyguy 2016-07-15 07:21 am (UTC)(link)
"I'll be gentle." Vanessa promised, reaching out encouragingly to Peter. He glanced back at Wade, who'd moved away from him, shifting nervously in between them before reluctantly approaching Vanessa. She sat him down on the couch, scratching her fingers gently through his hair.

"I've got beer in the fridge, Wade, go ahead. This shouldn't take long."

Peter was still staring at Wade from the couch, tail curled tightly against his side.
beaarthur: (pic#10392599)

[personal profile] beaarthur 2016-07-15 07:40 am (UTC)(link)
Wade stomped off to the kitchen, immediately flinging the fridge door open and grabbing three beers just to be safe. He went back into the living room and flopped on the couch, twisted the beer open and drank the whole damn thing in a few gulps. Yup. This was too much for him.

He couldn't even look at Peter. He was a terrible person. But he still sat close to him.
spideyguy: (CAT2)

[personal profile] spideyguy 2016-07-15 07:50 am (UTC)(link)
Peter is still skittish, despite Vanessa's reassurances. She's gotten his shirt off, though, by the time Wade returned. Peter looked to him, almost relieved, but Wade...didn't look at him. Didn't do anything but drain a bottle, and Peter just blinked, letting Vanessa take off his pants.

Wade was close, but clearly checking out of what was happening. Vanessa smoothed down Peter's hair, murmuring encouragements as she took his boxers off, letting his warm cock hit the open air. Gwen's pheromones were really potent in the apartment, and Peter sniffed again, looking back at Wade. Still nothing.

Vanessa coaxed him off the couch, next, promising him that Gwen was just around the corner, and didn't she smell good? All kind words, but Peter felt like he was going to barf.

"Come on sweetie, we're almost there. Good job, Peter!" Vanessa smiled, pleased when she got him up to the door. He could feel Gwen just beyond and his dick drooled, but Peter was miserable. "You're going to make the most beautiful kittens - "

Vanessa's hand was on his lower back now, as she reached for the door handle, and that's about when Peter flipped out. He tried to back up, but she was firm, insistent, and he felt boxed in. So yeah, he bit her, and he bit hard, letting out a cat-like screech and digging his teeth in harder.

"Holy FUCK, Wade!" She let go of Peter, who sprinted away and vaulted over the armchair, hiding behind it.
beaarthur: (Before | what?)

[personal profile] beaarthur 2016-07-15 08:02 am (UTC)(link)
Wade was going for the next bottle. He popped the top off, but let it rest by his lips instead of draining it. Why was he getting this weird feeling? Why? Things were fine. This was perfectly fine. This would be good for Peter. But if it would be good for him, why did he feel like this was wrong?

Oh. Well that's why. Wade shot up at the screech, the beer bottle slamming down on the coffee table. It shattered completely so now there were shards of glass all over the fucking table and Wade hissed as a piece sliced through his hand. Fuck. There was blood everywhere. He held his injured hand close to his body as he darted over to where Peter was, hunkering down by him. Holy shit. He bit Vanessa! Peter would never bite someone. This was not okay. Something was clearly up here.

Wade reached out slowly toward Peter, not wanting to spook him. "Hey, Petey Pie. It's okay. You're okay. I'm here. I'm so sorry." He felt like a piece of shit.

"No. We're not doing this. Peter isn't like this usually. He is a mess. I can't do this to him." Honestly, Wade didn't want to ask if Vanessa was okay because he was still pissed off about earlier. Way to act like a child, Wade. He pushed that part of him down. "Are you okay?" he asked.
spideyguy: (87)

[personal profile] spideyguy 2016-07-15 07:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Peter hissed a warning at Wade, scrambling backwards until his back was against the wall. He didn't know what was going on, and the last thing he wanted to do was bite Wade, but if he had to - if he panicked - he would. Wade wouldn't try to get him to go in there too, would he?

A quiet mewl, when Peter noticed the blood, and that's enough to get him to relax, inching towards Wade. Clearly, Peter's more concerned about Wade's bleeding hand than the fact that he freaked out and bit somebody.

"What the fuck, dumbass cat," Vanessa muttered, mostly to herself. Peter was fine a second ago! He whined and butted his head against Wade's shoulder, curling up against his side.

"Alright, yeah, he's clearly not ready for this," Vanessa conceded, wincing as she turned her arm over to examine the bite. "Christ. I'm going to put some ice on this and I guess we'll see. How's the cat?"
beaarthur: (Before | wtf)

[personal profile] beaarthur 2016-07-16 04:25 am (UTC)(link)
Now that hurt more than the glass in his hand. He yanked his hand back immediately. He tried not to take it personally. Peter looked so scared and it broke his heart. Wade didn't try to reach out again. If Peter wanted to come to him, he would. He wasn't going to push him. "It's okay, baby boy. I'm not going to make you go in there. We'll go home, okay? I won't make you do anything you don't want to. I'm so sorry."

Wade felt like the world's biggest piece of shit.

Fortunately for Vanessa, Wade didn't hear that, because he would've lost it and that was the last thing they needed right then.

That was when he felt Peter butt his head against him. Wade looked at Peter, his injured hand still curled against his chest. His free hand reached out to Peter again tentatively, making sure not to make any sudden movements. "You okay?"

"I bled on your coffee table. I'm sorry." Wade looked up at Vanessa. "I think he'll be okay? He's still super skittish."

Now that the adrenaline was starting to die down and his hand was throbbing painfully, the guilt also began to settle in. If he had just paid attention to Peter's body language, he would've known. But Wade was a stupid fucking idiot and he was so caught up in the idea that this was going to make Peter happy to have a little kitty girlfriend and the possibility of having kittens. It was his fucking fault that Vanessa got bit and that Peter was terrified now. This was all on him. Peter was his responsibility and he was a bad owner.
spideyguy: (73)

[personal profile] spideyguy 2016-07-16 04:33 am (UTC)(link)
Wade's reassurances got Peter to relax a little - at least around Wade, anyway, who hadn't had an active hand in pushing him towards the room. He sniffed at Wade's hand and whined, looking from the blood to Wade's face, making his priorities clear. He nodded and whined, fingers curling against Wade's shoulder where he snuggled into his side. Almost hiding, if you will, peeking at Vanessa from behind Wade when she spoke.

"Shit, Wade, what'd you bust your hand for?" She cradled her own arm against her chest and nodded towards the kitchen. "Come on, let's bandage ourselves up. Peter will be okay putting his clothes back on if we give him space, right?"

Peter whined uncertainly, pressing into Wade's side. He just wanted to get out of here; the pheromones were making his skin crawl and he wished he was anywhere else. Preferably with Wade, uninjured and enjoying the afternoon.
