Scott had stopped responding. It wasn't a panic at first, these things did happen sometimes, but there was no malfunction to be found; no reason to not be able to contact him. Everything was working as it should; there was no reason their end to not be able to contact him. The time stretched on and there was just no sign of him; no response. Nothing John tried could reach him. All they had were the coordinates of his last known location.

It was a far too familiar chain of events and a feeling of dread had begun to sit in Virgil's stomach, despite how much he tried to tell himself there was no way this could happen again. There was no way Scott could just disappear like their dad had. There was just no way. He couldn't do that to them. They couldn't let that happen.

Virgil found himself gripping Thunderbird 2's yoke hard as he swept in over the location his big brother had been recorded at last. It was winter in North America, a fact that was easy to forget when you lived in the south pacific. The sky was darkening, with weather reporting it was likely to start snowing heavily. That was Canada for you though, wasn't it? He was flying above the Northwest Territories, and there was nothing but rugged wilderness and snow. And there was going to be more snow... and Scott could be down there, somewhere.

He let go of the yoke a moment to rub his hands together, pausing only a moment to lean over to push a control to up the heat in the cockpit. Settling back, he set his eyes back on the scanner.

"Come on Scott... where are you?" he mumbled to himself.

He had no idea how it had happened. He had woken up with a raging headache and the smell of smoking electronics. It was obvious from the angle he was half hanging in his seat that Thunderbird 1 was down. The air was crisp with cold, which was bad news. Scott couldn't even muster enough thoughts together to even think of where he was exactly..or how he had gone down in the first place.

He felt like he had been tossed around, and knew that he was probably bruised everywhere. After gingerly testing his limbs, he discovered that nothing was broken at least. He could taste blood, and after a quick examination, found that he had a cut somewhere up in his hairline that had bled down his face. It had clotted over so thankfully it had stopped bleeding. But he must've looked a sight.

Despite the sharp tang of smoke traces in the air, there was no sign of fire. At least that was a plus. The eldest Tracy managed to get out of the pilot seat, and open the emergency exit. He held up a hand as blowing snow hit him in the face. Fantastic. He quickly shut the hatch, fumbling at his wrist at the holo comm.

"Thunderbird 1....calling Thunderbird 5. John you read me?" Scott managed to rasp into the comm device through clenched teeth - his hoarse voice punctuated by coughing. He fiddled with the device, frustrated that there wasn't a response, or sign of regular function for that matter. Damn.

First things first. It was bloody freezing. He needed to get warm and fast. His form fitting uniform was insulated to a point, but without loose layers - it would be more of a hindrance and would not help at all. Shivering hard - and trying to ignore the pain that caused, Scott stumbled towards the back of the cockpit, opening a bolted hatch to access the emergency supplies - finding a parka to slip on and tug the hood over his head. He also grabbed a first aid kit. The cold wasn't a damp cold thankfully - but a dry cold would still be dangerous. Judging by the aching stiffness and his shivering state, he had been unconscious for a while. He was lucky he was able to move at all.

Hopefully the GPS signal was still functioning. Even if the comm unit wasn't working, that would at least enable his family to find him before he froze to death....

The storm was getting heavier and still... nothing. Virgil didn't want to turn back and John didn't want to tell him he should turn back, but the unspoken words hung over every time he reported in. The dread in his stomach was growing.

Then there was a signal. It was weak, but there.

Virgil sat up straighter in his pilot's chair as he wondered if he was dreaming it. No, it was there, just barely. Something must have damaged it to have such limited range. Heading in the direction it began to increase by strength, and relief swelled over him. There it was, half buried in snow where it had clearly had a rather ungraceful landing--Thunderbird 1.

"John--Thunderbird 2 to Thunderbird 5!" he barked, protocol slipping. "I-I found it! I found One!"

He could hear the relief in John's voice as he replied. Virgil wasted no time setting Thunderbird 2 down as close as he could.

"Thunderbird 2 to Thunderbird 1... Scott! SCOTT! Scott... Answer me! Please?"

Nothing.

Virgil shoved the yoke up, fumbling with his buckle an nearly threw himself from the seat, moving to the back of the cockpit, pulling open various cabinets to get what he needed. A coat, scarf and mittens that he threw on. He dumped a few other kits, ready to the floor. He was going to bring Scott here. He'd need surely warming up and it was warm in here. There was no question in his mind that Scott was alive. He wasn't ready to let himself think otherwise.

He then hopped onto the elevator, down into the belly of Two, and exited the craft. The cold hit him like bricks, but no storm was going to keep him from getting to Scott. He half ran, half stumbled to Thunderbird one, moving to the upper end. "Scott! SCOTT!" he yelled as loud as he could over the storm, hoping he would hear him in there.

Once Scott had found the parka, he had decided that staying put within Thunderbird 1 was the best bet. It would shelter him from the wind and snow outside. Despite the all ready cold air within the craft, it did have insulation, and most likely was not as cold as outside.

The eldest had tucked himself away in the back of the cockpit area, curled up in the parka with his hood pulled up over his head to try and keep in the heat. His arms were curled around his middle, with his hands tucked in the sleeves. The first aid kit and a water bottle was next to him on the floor. He had managed to dab some disinfectant on the wound on his head and tape a bandage to it to keep it covered. The water was to try and keep hydrated. He was in a state of between sleep and awake, though kept from going fully unconscious by his body shivering too hard. He was so tired though...

He thought he heard a noise beneath the howling wind outside. It sounded a lot like Thunderbird 2. Did they find him? The roar was unmistakeable. But he was all ready in such a state. Was he hallucinating? Did he hit his head that bad? He had been hurting all over before but now he barely noticed it. A part of him knew that that was bad, but he couldn't be bothered to think why.

Nothing. No answer.

Clambering through the drifted snow, he managed to peer into a corner of the window at the base of the cockpit. He could barely see in, but the pilot chair didn't look like it had anyone in it. That was good... hopefully.

Stretching up to the emergency hatch on the side, he frowned. It looked like it had been popped open as it wasn't completely flush, but he saw no signs that anyone had left in the snow, unless it had already been covered. Hoping his brother hadn't been foolish enough to leave the ship, he shoved his mitted hand into the release handle and found it had indeed been released at some point, then closed again, just hadn't quite fully latched. That was good for him, it meant he could definitely get in. Pulling it open, he hauled himself up and into the cockpit, pulling the door closed behind him.

He quickly scanned the cockpit, noticing it was a little warmer in here, but not by nearly enough. It did't take much looking to catch sight of his missing brother at the far end. "Scott!"

In a couple quick strides he had crossed the cockpit and crouched down in front of his older brother, hands instantly settled on his shoulders. He didn't need to check if he was alive--he could see his breath in the cold air. That was a relief in itself. Warm, brown eyes still full of worry and fear, willed his brother's to look back up at him. "Scott...?"

When Virgil entered the cockpit, Scott didn't stir. The eldest was partially aware of him though, figuring that perhaps he was dreaming it. His body shivered hard in brief fits, and his head shifted when his brother grasped his shoulders. The hood moved back slightly, revealing the gauze taped to his forehead by his hairline. The blood had dried in a sheet on that side of his face and he was horribly pale.

Blue eyes cracked open, blinking slowly. "V...Virgil?" He mumbled after a few moments as recognition sluggishly registered. He was sitting with his knees drawn up, curled up as tightly as he could to conserve heat. Perhaps now he'd finally be able to rest now that his brother was here. Maybe.

Relief flooded over him when he saw Scott's eyes open and heard his voice. A smile flickered momentarily on his face. "Yeah. It's me," he said softly, before he shoved aside the relieved little brother for now and prepared himself to play the part of a medic. He'd have to be relieved and happy later.

Scott was far, far too pale and that was blood... He pulled a mitten off so he could reach out, gently touching his fingers to his brother's face to turn it gently so he could examine that blood. At least it seemed dry and Scott had made some attempt to deal with it seemed. Okay. He'd look more at it later.

He pulled the hood gently back over Scott's head then shoved his mitten back on. "Can you move at all? We gotta get you to Thunderbird 2, so I can get you warmed up," he asked, an edge of urgency in his voice. If Scott couldn't get up, whatever, he'd carry his brother if he had to. There was no time to waste at this point.

thunderbird1: (It's going to be all right)

[personal profile] thunderbird1 2015-07-23 08:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Scott smiled back, though it was a small almost drowsy expression. He was quiet and complacent as Virgil got a better look at him, which was saying something. He normally tried to shrug off help if he could, trying to reassure his family at the same time that he was okay.

"S'all right..." He slurred. Okay he tried.

At the question there was a long pause as the eldest seemed to consider it with a small frown. He slowly tried to unfurl himself in fits and starts so that he could grasp Virgil about the shoulders to keep his balance. The shivering was throwing him off.

"W-who turned up the AC?" He tried to wisecrack. He felt so heavy and stiff, getting to TB2 would be a challenge.
heavy_lifting: (What was that?)

[personal profile] heavy_lifting 2015-07-23 09:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Virgil found himself rolling his eyes upwards, as he wondered how hard Scott had hit his head. "No one. You crashed yourself into a giant freezer," he responded, grabbing Scott's arm, pulling it more over his shoulders. His other arm found it's way around his waist, allowing Virgil to pull his brother up more onto his own two feet.

From the way Scott was shivering alone, Virgil had his doubts just how far they'd manage like this, but he'd humour him for now.

"Alright, let's get outta here," he said, moving to the hatch, pushing it back open. They'd figure out what to do about Thunderbird 1 later. Right now Scott was his only concern.
thunderbird1: (Hidden Regrets)

[personal profile] thunderbird1 2015-07-24 04:42 am (UTC)(link)
Scott grunted slightly as Virgil helped haul him to his feet. Now that he was moving, he was starting to note the deep pain in his joints as they moved after being in one position for a while. Other than a grimace, he didn't make a sound.

"Huh...don't even know...how that happened." He mumbled. Honestly, he couldn't even remember what happened to cause him to make a hard landing. He leaned heavily into Virgil's side as he was helped to the emergency hatch, walking with jerky and stiff movements. When shivers came it was almost like a spasm. Scott flinched when the hatch was opened, as the icy snowy wind hit him in the face. He grasped the edge, and worked at hauling himself out. He did manage to get out on his own, however once he exited the craft, he landed with a splat into the drifting snow. If it was less of a serious situation, it would have been comedic.

"Fantastic." He muttered, sitting up from the 'Scott print' that he made. Without another complaint he tried to get back on his feet, but discovered that his legs didn't want to cooperate. Just the effort of getting out of the craft sapped what energy he had. He was too out of it to really be embarassed, but he still managed a soft "Sorry Virg.." As he reached out a hand to his brother.
heavy_lifting: (Hm?)

[personal profile] heavy_lifting 2015-07-24 05:15 am (UTC)(link)
"We'll figure it out later," Virgil replied, catching his brother's words... just. It was definitely a huge concern that Scott of all people had somehow crashed, but the cause would also have to be worried about later.

He tentatively released his hold as Scott hauled himself out, allowing him to go first... except maybe that had been a bad idea. With care to Virgil pulled himself out, avoiding stepping on his poor brother by his feet and slammed the door shut, making sure this time it was properly closed. With that he turned to see how Scott was and given he seemed pretty planted where he'd dropped, the answer was clearly not good.

"I figured there was no way you were staying on your feet," he replied with a momentary half grin. Virgil looked thoughtful a moment before reaching for Scott's hand. He took it and turned, crouching down, his back to Scott as he reached for his other hand to pull it over his other shoulder. "Think you can hold on?" he asked, seeing if he could get Scott on his back all piggyback like. It probably would afford his brother the least embarrassment of the three options he had right now. Not to mention be easier to hide his face from the wind and snow behind Virgil's hood and shoulders.
thunderbird1: (Serious focus)

[personal profile] thunderbird1 2015-07-24 06:43 am (UTC)(link)
Scott made a grumbly noise at seeing Virgil's small grin - though other than that brief noise, he offered no complaint. The elder brother looked back at his 'bird after Virgil secured it. Despite his grogginess, he hated to just leave it there. But...getting warm had to come first.

He was silent for a few moments as Virgil took his hand and crouched down infront of him. Once he comprehended what he was asking he acquiesed with a small nod as he leaned into his brother's back. He was too out of it to really care about dignity at the moment. He fumbled a little, but managed to get a hold about Virgil's shoulders so that he'd be able to get his legs around his hips once the other Tracy stood up.

The snow was blowing hard in the storm, and Scott was wracked with another spasm of shivers. All he could do was hold on tight.
heavy_lifting: (Hrm...)

[personal profile] heavy_lifting 2015-07-24 07:12 am (UTC)(link)
As soon as Scott had his arms tight around his shoulders and neck, Virgil hooked his arms around each of his brothers legs, hoisting him gently a little more onto his back. Feeling like he was secure, Virgil rose, adjusting his grip a little more.

"Just hang in there," he said gently, hating how he could now feel his brother's spasm of shivers. He wasted no time at this point, heading back in the direction Thunderbird 2, her hulking green mass blurry in the sheets of snow, despite being only thirty odd yards away. Fuelled by even more determination now to get Scott to warmth, he made the trek surprisingly quickly, soon under the shelter of the massive ship.

Getting back inside, they were soon on the elevator to the cockpit, which still had some lingering warmth. Letting Scott down to the floor as gently as he could, he wasted no time, pulling the mittens off and his coat, which he dumped over Scott's legs, since it was warm on the inside. "Okay... Let's get you warmed up," Virgil muttered, wanting to get this started before anything else. Going to one of the kits he'd left waiting, digging out some heat packs and a blanket. The blanket was spread and heat packs pushed under to where they needed to be.

Finally Virgil drew in a breath and let it out as he sunk down, plopping beside his big brother. Pulling his uniform gloves off then reached to do the same for Scott's closest arm first, large warm hands enveloping his brother's, undoubtedly, rather cold ones. "The gps must have been damaged. The signal was so faint, it wasn't till I was close that I finally picked it up," he explained, as he warmed his brother's hand, reaching for the other to repeat the process. "We have no idea what happened. You just stopped responding. Had to go to your last known coordinates and just start looking."

thunderbird1: (What's the situation?)

[personal profile] thunderbird1 2015-07-24 08:15 am (UTC)(link)
Scott was aware of Virgil getting to his feet and hoisting him up more onto his back, but remembered little else of the blustery trek through the white out conditions back to Thunderbird 2. He was face first into Virgil's shoulder, hood covering his head and completely dead weight.

His consciousness drifted when Virgil got him up into his craft, lowering him onto the floor of the cockpit where he simply lay unmoving. He barely even registered the jacket put on his legs, or the blanket and heat packs. His hands were like ice when Virgil held them.

Scott came to when he heard Virgil talking about something to do with the GPS...and not knowing what happened. He shook his head slightly, about to speak, when another spasm of shivering hit him. His jaw clenched and his fingers gripped Virgil's hand. He knew what to expect as heat was gradually introduced back to his body. It was going to hurt. Getting warm also had to happen gradually. Too much or too quickly, and it would be too dangerous. In other words - this was going to suck. A lot.

"C-can't remember." He said finally. "Too hazy."

He held his brother's hand tightly for a moment when Scott gripped it. This wasn't gonna be fun at all, but it had to be done. "That's okay. We'll figure it out eventually," he said, trying to keep Scott with him.

Satisfied that his brother's hands weren't ice cubes now, he pulled the blanket up more and manoeuvred down the the end of the blanket, releasing and pulling off Scott's boots and gently as he could, tried to reintroduce some heat to his feet and toes with one hand while with his other hand, he lifted it to the sash of his tool belt, resting two fingers on the IR symbol. "Thunderbird 2 to Thunderbird 5... I've got him, John. He's pretty frozen and had a bump to the head, but he's gonna be okay." He wasn't gonna let him be anything other than that. "I'm trying to get him warmed up, so I'll have to talk more later."

John replied with relief and a promise to let everyone else know. Also a warning that the storm was getting worse, much to Virgil's dismay. Well, if they had to stay here, so be it. They could manage in Thunderbird 2. He just hoped Thunderbird 1 wouldn't be completely covered by morning.

Signing out, he pulled the blanket back over Scott's feet and rose a moment to discard his tool belt. Settling back down by by Scott's head, he gently lifted his brother and slid a bit beneath him, so Scott could lean against him instead of the metal floor. Arms slid around his shoulders, and he hugged Scott close, trying to also share some of his own warmth--something Virgil seemed to have plenty of.

"You really did give us a scare today," he admitted, not sure if Scott was listening, but talking to him just the same. It was finally time to allow a moment for the worried little brother. His cheek settled gently on the not bumped side of his head. "I was really starting to think..." he continued, voice cracking, unable to finish the words--finish that he'd been starting to think Scott might really have disappeared like their dad had.

Scott's eyes shut when Virgil tugged the blanket up so that he could move to take off his boots. His awareness faded in and out after that again. He could hear Virgil's voice as if from far off - who was he talking to. John?

He grimaced in pain as his hands and feet eventually erupted into pins and needles. It felt like he was getting them mashed in hot chunks of sharp glass. They were still pretty numb otherwise, but at least they weren't in the severe stages of frost bite. They would heal.

Next thing he knew, he felt hands and strong arms underneath his shoulders and head, gently lifting. His shivers were becoming a more constant thing now - and they came in involuntary shuddering waves. He was rested back against a warm body, and he lay in Virgil's arms shuddering - kept in place by his grip. Whenever the shivers subsided, he sagged with exhaustion - but the pain and the shivers starting up again kept unconsciousness from fully claiming him. It was going to be a long painful night.

Virgil's voice caught his attention, the emotion in his words going right through him. For an instant, he felt horrible for scaring his family so - and frustration for not being able to remember how or why.

"Virg..." He managed in a sigh, blue eyes pained as he tried to reassure. "I-I'm not....going anywhere."

"Heh, I know... I know," he replied, a smile faintly on lips. "You're too stubborn to just go and vanish."

He let out a soft sigh, lifting his head back up. "It just... was a little too similar for comfort," he admitted, knowing it wasn't just him who'd felt it. The whole family had felt it, most certainly. He was sure they were just as relieved as he was right now.

He squeezed Scott's shoulders gently, then tilted his own head, looking back at that dried blood down his brother's face. He hated sitting here feeling Scott shake like this, knowing there really wasn't much more he could do than keep him warm and comfortable. However, at least he could do something about that blood.

With another gentle squeeze, he shifted his brother a little against him so he could have his hands free for a few minutes. He reached out for one of the medical kits, pulling it close. Virgil wanted to get a better look at Scott's head, since it was pretty clear Scott had likely not been very with it when he'd looked after it.

"Hm, I want a look at this wound," he told him, pushing the hood back completely and gently tilting his brother's head. He gently removed the gauze, inspecting what was under it. He was surprisingly impressed his brother had managed to deal with this as well as he had, given he didn't exactly even have a mirror. It only took a moment to gently clean the wound up a little more, and cover it again with a fresh gauze.

Virgil then found some wipes and returning one arm around his shaking brother, he carefully began cleaning the blood off Scott's face, still wishing there was more he could do. "You know, I just wish you'd found somewhere warmer to go and crash land in, Scott," he spoke up, full well knowing Scott was drifting in and out, but maybe just his voice would offer some sort of comfort?

Scott's lips quirked a little at the comment that he was too stubborn, but the expression faded as he registered what his brother said. "I know." He said softly. "I...I just wish I could remember what happened. I'm sorry." He said, closing his eyes. The emotional pain of putting his family through a scare like that was almost worse than the physical pain he was going through.

He was silent, eyes closed as Virgil shifted him in his arms. He could hear his brother rummaging with a hand and pulling something over. He was so tired and his thoughts were hazy. He wished he could just pass out for a few days. When Virgil said he wanted to get a look at the wound on his head, Scott merely mumbled a sound of acknowledgement.

He never made a sound of pain, but when shivers hit, he sucked in a breath as his body tensed in Virgil's arms. He barely even registered the sting of disinfectant as his brother cleaned and re-gauzed the injury. His attention was purely on getting through the painful spasms, but he did register the soft wet material on his face as Virgil cleaned the dried blood.

His brother's comment made him utter a 'pff' of a noise as he cracked his eyes open. "I'll remember that for next time." He attempted to drawl. "Maybe the Sahara..."

Virgil snorted. "Try again," he suggested, with a soft grin, as he finished cleaning the blood away. Hazy as he was, Scott at least seemed a little more stable now, his speech more connected. Now if only the spasms would ease.

It was then Virgil's turn to suddenly get a chill and he blinked. Ah. The cockpit was cooling down more. Time to fix that. "Hang on, let me get the heat back on," he told Scott as he gently eased out from under him and set him down carefully. Pushing himself back up, he made his way back to the control panel by his seat. He'd let the lingering heat warm them up, but it was dissipating now. Switching it back on, he paused remembering something else and plucked a thermos from beneath his seat.

He then went back to a cabinet pulling out a few more blankets and something to eat. He figured he might as well try to get comfortable. He could still hear the howling outside. Part of him wanted to get Scott home, on other hand, it could be a hell of a ride. He wasn't sure it'd be worth the risk, when they could certainly be fine here--as long as Scott continued to improve, anyways.

He took back the coat he'd tossed earlier over Scott's legs and threw a second blanket over him instead; the other blanket he'd grabbed he pulled around his own shoulders. He then tossed the coat up against the cabinet closest to where he was about to sit back down, which he did. Gathering Scott into his arms again, he gently scooted back with him, so he could sit with his back against the cabinet, the coat serving as at least some cushioning for his back. It was about as comfortable as he was gonna manage.

Settling Scott back against him as he'd been before, he picked up the thermos he'd retrieved. "I just remembered I had this," he said, showing Scott the thermos. "So... Grandma gave me this before I left. Hot chocolate, she said... Well, I guess we'll find out," he said, with a grin.

At the words to try again Scott forced his sluggish thoughts to work. "Uhhh....Caribbean?" At least the view would be fantastic. Better than the white out crap outside TB2's windows.

He nodded at his brother's words of turning the heat back on. "Kay..." The notion of more heat was fine with him. He uttered a quiet grunt of pain when he was lowered to the floor. Even after he was thawed out, he was going to be sore for a few days. He lay where he was, eyes heavy with fatique went to the controls to turn the heat on.

His awareness must have drifted again because when he opened his eyes, Virgil had replaced the jacket with a blanket and had one for himself too. Scott shivered in the grip of a spasm when Virgil gently picked him up and he uttered a soft sound, biting it off quickly. Thawing out really sucked.

He sagged against the warm body behind him as his muscles relaxed with shivering tremors. Scott eyed the thermos with a wary expression.

"Uh oh..." He muttered. "I was meaning to ask you for a drink but..."

Scott wasn't the only one who was going to be hurting. Spending a night on his 'bird's floor was definitely not going to do Virgil any favours, especially his back and neck, but oh well. Scott's comfort was more important to him right now.

"Don't worry, I'll try it first," Virgil said, with another grin. He was willing to take the hit. Hopefully, however, given not much was needed to make hot chocolate, there would be something potable. Pulling off the cup lid, he unscrewed the cap and took a squinting look inside. "Well... it's a bit pale, but it looks okay..."

He then sniffed at it, a necessary next step in ever downing anything from Grandma's kitchen escapades. Well, it was a little chocolatey, he supposed. Didn't smell anything off about it. "Hm." Finally, feeling brave, he poured some into the lid, and took a tentative sip.

"...Huh. Well, kinda light on the actual hot chocolate mix, but it's warm and drinkable, I guess." For their Grandma that was practically praise. "Want some?" he offered.

Scott raised an eyebrow at Virgil's offer to try it first. "You sure?" He quipped, holding the blanket tighter around himself. That was definitely taking a risk. His brother was known for his nerves of steel though.

At the mention that it was pale, Scott's brow furrowed slightly in slight revulsion. He was about to suggest that Virgil not try it when the other brother sniffed it and decided it was good enough to take a sip. Scott watched him, shivering the whole while. His eyebrows raised at Virgil's words.

"Well that's good." He sighed with a nod. "I guess I'll give it a shot." He reached his hands out from the blankets, flexing them slightly. They were still tingling and hurting really bad and were really stiff, but he managed to curl them so that he'd be able to hold the thermos lid.

He carefully held it between his hands, taking a sip while trying not to spill any on himself from the shaking.

"It works." He said finally after a few sips.

It had been probably a good thing Virgil hadn't been looking at Scott's expressions when he'd tried Grandma's hot chocolate, or he might've spat it out from laughing. Luckily that hadn't been the case. He carefully rested the cup into Scott's hands, making sure he had it securely before releasing it to him.

"It's a miracle, huh?" he said, with a chuckle as he reached over for what else he'd pulled out: a couple granola bars. Nothing special and hardly enough to ever fill his stomach, boy was it feeling empty, but it was something. He started opening one up and took a bite.

"So. The Caribbean, huh? Yeah, that's more like it," he said, picking back up the earlier conversation, such as it was.

"Hmm.." Scott mumbled, still carefully drinking the rest that was in the thermos lid. No matter what the source, warm liquid was nice. Miracle indeed. He knew that he would have to keep up with the fluids. In his state, keeping hydrated was important. He glanced over as Virgil pulled out a couple of granola bars.

"Y-yeah.." He said, a quirk of a smile hitting his lips. "Stranded on a beach somewhere. J-just needs some....some pina coladas." He dropped the empty thermos lid when another round of hard shivers overtook him, and he bowed his head with a grimace, clutching the blankets around him. The spasms were more spaced out now, though he still was shivering in gentler waves as his body warmed up thanks to Virgil, the blankets and the heating packs.

"Hurts...." He muttered through clenched teeth before he could stop himself. It wasn't an easy thing for him to admit.
